I received the following this AM:

As soon as we have a definitive date for shopper payment, it will be posted to the website.

We are very sorry that our payments have been a little erratic this year. It is nothing we want either. We can say that we are trying to get the consistency back in Shopper Payments and will not stop until we are there and have dates that the Shoppers can rely on.

Please note though that the Independent Contractor Agreement says the payments will be around the 15th to 20th, not by the 15th to 20th. A small point of difference that still does not negate our intent to restore consistency to our payment schedule. Thank you for sticking with us through these growing pains.

That's right, but at least I won't be waiting and wondering when I will get paid. That will give you the opportunity to schedule more shops with them JASFLAMLT, lol.

Market Force has been one of the most reliable companies I've shopped with since they were Shop 'N Check back in the day. However, just the mention of the word "bankruptcy" gives me pause. I admit, I am concerned. I received the same response to my inquiry from Simone, but I noticed there was no mention of WHEN May payments would be going out. I hope this is not a scare tactic by calsim11. Please post the link ASAP.

Mark Twain
I have been shopping with MF since 2015 (not an incredibly long time compared to many, but have done a bit less than 1,000 shops for them). In fact, they keep my shopping schedule full enough that I seldom shop with other companies even though I am signed up with many. MF offers me nice bonuses, because I live in a rural area where absolutely no one else wants to shop, and am fortunate to have lived here long enough to know all the shortcuts to these little podunk towns which saves considerable time and fuel.

Up through December of last year, I had never received payment later than the 15th of the month, and typically by the 10th or 11th. Of course, I never EXPECTED to be paid any earlier than is posted on their payment information, but they have definitely allowed themselves to create a pattern that they obviously can't keep up with this year. I work a Mon-Fri full time job, so shopping evenings and weekends is just a side gig for me, but I do earn enough from them that it will be a considerable loss should they go belly up. I am not panicked (yet), but am growing increasingly concerned that they are coming apart at the seams. The only times I have ever been miffed was when their payment details page showed my payment as deposited in my account, but days later I still hadn't seen it. Twice, the payment showed on my MF payment details, then mysteriously disappeared before actually being paid over a week later. Since the pay details were correct according to my records, obviously the bookkeeping end of the process was completed. I can only assume that the reason payment was not actually completed at the time of posting was lack of funds. That thought does make me a bit nauseous.

I have had no complaints with pay, schedulers, or reporting (other than minor issues with their website accepting photos and reports). Here's hoping they get it together.

(Edited to change that 10,000 number of shops to a mere 1,000. My fingers got a bit too happy adding those zeros!)

I'm glad I was reading this thread just now.

Does anyone know if jobs go into a "limbo" status between being placed on the assignment-status page and showing up in payment history? I did a shop back in May, which was approved. However, there's no record of that shop currently in my shopper dashboard. It's not showing on either page, and it hasn't been paid. I was wondering if it's in process for this month, but don't those normally still show up on the assignment status page?

Unfortunately, since I haven't been doing a lot of shopping over the last few months, I'm not keeping my spreadsheet system up to date. Mistake on my part.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
I don't do much for them, generally only bonused shops. The msjority of my shops are with better paying MSCs.

I am sure we will get paid.

A certain way for Market Force (or any other company) to force itself out of business: Depend on micro vendors to complete work, pay them miserable fees, and then don't pay them on time.

What kind of fool would take a $4 shop from a firm which doesn't pay its bills well? It is not like carrying the paper because of a large fee.

Next time one of their tele-schedulers tell, I might well tell them that MF is on credit hold and that any job must include payment in advance.
Please post where you heard this because it is causing a panic - is this word of mouth or online?? Post the link please.
From now on I am doing less shops until I can feel reassured that they are not going under. I am due about $250 for May that I will be out. This happened before with NSS and all those pizza shops.

I sent an email to their help desk with the following two quotes from their website:

"All compensation will be paid either via direct deposit to an account you have specified, or by a check that will be mailed no later than the 20th of each calendar month."
Please remember that just because you have received your payment one month on the 9th or you think you always have it by the 12th or you believe that the payments have never gone beyond the 10th, the truth is that the payments will go out no later than the 15th-20th of each month. That is the date range you can count on and should budget for."

I told them that if the above info is no longer the "truth", they need to update their website.

Kenasch, I am so glad you did this. I was contemplating the exact same action myself.
Response to Honnybrown:

Yet, a scheduler begged me 2 days ago to do 2 of the same dinner shops back to back. When I asked if that was allowed he said sure. I declined thinking at least one would be invalidated. I made the right choice I see.

Just received a new update from an email I sent about the matter.

"Debbie C replied:
Good afternoon,

We owe you an apology…..and some money! Shoppers’ Direct Deposits were supposed to have been sent to our bank yesterday for posting to your accounts today. They were not, as you sadly know.

Our management team has been investigating what went wrong. They will let us know as soon as they know what day the deposits will be made. And as soon as we know, we will post a Shopper Message on the website so please continue to check that.

We are hopeful we will have a date for you before the close of business today; however, if not, our Supervisor will be monitoring the communications all weekend in order to get the word out to all of you.

We cannot apologize enough because these monthly issues should not keep occurring and please know that we are working very hard to get back to the consistently issued payments that a lot of you know to be one of our hallmarks going back for years. We will get back there and we appreciate you sticking with us!

Hope this helps.
Interesting in that apparently the money is not there for the deposits to have been made. Had it been, should have been able to state that the direct deposits were going to the bank today. However, monitoring and will give a date when the deposits will be made is very concerning.

Suspect it's just a ploy to keep some shoppers from canceling shops because of no payment. They stand to lose big time if they don't meet contractual obligations on number of shops for client.

BTW, once my source get home from work, she is suppose to email the link to me.
