Cirrus marketing shop apply problem

Everytime I try to apply to Cirrus, they keep saying that's haven't answered their questions. I write them out and answer. What are they looking for? On the question what is my work ethic? I answer and they say it isn't answered. Please someone give me feedback?

Chalk it up to a stroke of good luck that they don't want to qualify you on their initial survey. I wish that had happened to me.

They are not the ideal company to work for. It takes a minimum 105 days to get paid after completing the job. The hourly rate doing their jobs is horrendous. You will have to chase them down for your payment.
Yep, exactly what heywave said... think of it as your guardian angel helping you avoid the pain of working with them.
Consider yourself lucky.

I second that. They owe me $700 since March 2022!

Did you submit an invoice? This is one of the few companies that makes you do that.
Dont even bother to apply. I did 36 apartment shops in february and march 2022 and not even one was paid. All my reports were completed and accepted. They dont even return calls and email.
They owe me $3050. They never returned my calls and email. All my shops were accepted.

I had an apartment shop with them. I called trying to reach the target for a whole week. The scheduler was in contact with me when I reached out to her. I finally found out the target no longer worked at the property. I got the go ahead to shop the new person. I asked the scheduler to extend the shop due to all of the hassle trying to reach the target, which caused delays. Long story short, I did the shop and was going to submit it and it was automatically cancelled because the scheduler didn't extend it to the date I told her I was doing the shop. This affected my points and ratings negatively on the forum I used to book this shop. I asked the scheduler to fix that since it was her fault. The scheduler and company would not even bother to respond to me. They did me a favor cancelling this shop from what I am reading here. However, I want my hard-earned reputation restored. They are scammers and very unprofessional. BEWARE!
Have any of you been able to pursue payments beyond talking to the schedulers? What's been the course of action for non-payment? I can't imagine a company could get away with this. sad smiley
A lot of companies get away with all kinds of things because nobody reports them to the Labor Department in their state. A good rule is to always come here first and check out the threads about a company before you work with them, and only do one shop and see if they pay that one on time. I had read about Cirrus years ago, but since they were on iSecret shop now I thought they were better. Nah, they are not.
My experience has been that if you submit an invoice per their protocol, then you will get paid. One issue is it takes over three months to get paid. If you were to do a job, have it graded by the end of February and submit the invoice by the 28th of February, then you should expect to receive payment in early June.

You should also schedule an email to be sent on June 7th reminding them you haven't been paid per the guidelines. I had to remind them that I hadn't received payment by their stated date each time and was paid fairly quickly after sending the email.

Like someone else mentioned, they conduct business this way because they know they will eventually find someone to do the work and accept the terms. I think that their nonsense will catch up to them at some point and find it very difficult to fill those jobs.

The labor department has no control over this. You are not an employee!
@luckygirl0100 I think @mysterytrina probably meant to cite another department. She is experienced enough to know that she, you, and me are not employees.

The people here represent a small fraction of all the shoppers out there.

@mysterytrina If you do one shop and wait to see if they pay on time, four months have to pass. Hopefully the word is out not to deal with this company.
You are right I am experienced enough to know that, but I also know that there are Federal and State labor laws that all companies have to adhere too. Also, one of these companies got sued with a class action suit and the shoppers won. The suit was based on the company breaking Federal and State labor laws. Lastly, all companies don't pay every 4 months, that might be true for this sorry company. On average you get paid the following month for shops performed that month, and some good companies I work with pay every week and twice a week during the holidays. When a company pays every four months, that is a sign they struggle to make payroll. It is better to run from these companies.

@mysterytrina Absolutely right. I meant to say that with Cirrus, you would have to wait four months to see if they pay. I don't know of any other companies that are on this schedule.

I did not know about the slow pay with Cirrus until after I had completed tasks. Had I known, I wouldn't have bothered to do any jobs with them.

I was just looking around the net... However, you can research it and find out the laws for your state and the Federal laws that apply to us all.

We are independent contractors, there basically are no laws. Why won't you share where you found that quote?

Nevermind... found the exact quote/ website, it's a law firm advertising for business (not an informationalwebsite) but anyway....

The 10 'rights' discussed ARE given to us.

Right to a Contract
Right to Control
Right to Make Decisions
Right to Work When You Want
Right to Work Where You Want
Right to Advertise
Right to Receive Payment
Right to Work with Other Contractors
Right to Challenge Your Employment Status
Right to Manage Your Own Business

We DO have all of these rights. By the simple fact that we can choose which shops to take and which ones not to accept.

This link explains we (independent contractors) aren't covered under federal labor laws.
