BARE and the mysterious shipping company

I believe that the changes reflect poorly thought out initial instructions. I have only printed and read the initial ones and thought that I could have covered the same material in about 6 pages.

I did one where I was able to ship my Christmas box for the family. It was over 3 lb. so it did take my reimbursement and most of my fee to mail it, but since I went out of my way to get it done, they are giving me a $10.00 bonus. Not too bad overall.

I agrree. I read each month's guidelines. So I don't want to miss anything. In some incidences they repeat alot of things. How many times do you need to look for the certifid form? or if the other forms, or are they available in the lobby or not.

About the uniform-----is the clerk uniform complimemt? We only see the wasit up. So does the clerk have on pants? We are given them the benefit of doubt.

I am looking forward to the new years shops. we will see if they have gotten better.
I definitely do not want to either (1) lean over the counter to inspect the clerk's pants nor (2) ask if he/she is wearing any. smiling smiley
I have always noted when they walked away from the counter with the previous customer to drop the letter/parcel in the correct outgoing bin what the pants were. Don't think I have ever seen a skirt in there.
Am I reading this correctly?

On the regular box...it's ok to return a product to a mail order company...
They don't care what your shipping or to whom; they're just not reimbursing over the $8 something.
Right??

One other thought...what happens if they offer the extras..confirmation and insurance.
If it's offered, You have to take it.
What happens if that bumps it to over the 8.40 reimbursement??

Lastly, Someone mentioned they received a $10 -- does this happen often enough that I should wait it out??
I really need to return something, but I certainly don't want to pay over the reimbursement.

That is correct, you can send anything anywhere as long as it is not going to the same zip code as the building you are shipping from.

You do have to take two of the extras if offered. The way to keep it down to under $8.40 is to make sure your item is not much over a pound. In your case though, even if it did go over $8.40, it would still be profitable because you would be sending a package you would normally be paying to send.
Limited to 12" x 12" x 12". Larger than that is reserved for the 3rd round of shops.

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I also think their instructions should be clearer so we don't make mistakes. There is no where to find certain answers except from a fellow shopper and that is *&^&%%$$ !!! frustrating
Just got my first opportunity to do the dim weight shops. You have to provide food for food banks enough to go in oversized box and then ship to predetermined address??? And just how much does one of those cost if reimbursement for shipping is over $40??? Sounds like something I can't afford to lay so much cash out for. Am already signed up for 12 more regular box ones. Anyone know how expensive it is to ship an oversized box if it's not too oversized? I don't mind sending some food to food banks, but can't commit $40 a pop to shipping the packages.
Just as info only: I recently bought 12 cans (15oz each) of pumpkin and amazon waived the 13.25 shipping.

Is your narritive about a Bare shop or someone esles shop or or U just wondering. $40 is a lot. I have to think about it b4 signing up for those shops.

Are U comparing mail shops or R U telling us something about the "dim weight scenario?" I don't think Bare will waiver shipping cost just b/c "we R sending food to a food bank". Just saying.
sojo, I am assuming they are talking about the Bare dim weight shop because the shop info says it would be around $40.
Sorry if I confused everyone about the shipping cost of 12 cans of pumpkin. I was just giving an example about weight and cost. I was not referring to a dim weight shop....just giving an estimate of cost of shipping canned goods smiling smiley
I've done numerous scenario A & B shops. For A I have used a padded envelope every time (a recycled one, I've never purchased anything for these shops) and haven't had any problems. Last week I got the email for scenario A again (to be done anytime this week) and grabbed 4 shops near my home. The next day I got an email for scenario C and put in for 4 of those but got none. I can't figure these guys out. I was actually looking forward to sending food to some food banks!
Anyone have any idea if Bare will be increasing the max reimbursement with the new higher rates this company charges to ship?

I was just reading the guidelines for the Regular Box A shops and wanted to point out something I read that I think is different from the last round.

I know I've read a few shoppers here say that they can ship to their house from a post office that is in their city, but has a different zip code. The guidelines now say that you can not ship to the same zip code or CITY.
99% of the mailing shops have disappeared from the Bare board. There are only 4 DIM weight shops listed in the US not just my state, and all assigned. The email that I received about DIM Weight listed 100's of shops, and now they are not even listed.

Has anyone else noticed the shops disappearing? I would almost bet that these shops will not be back. To be clear - Just speculation on my part. There was an article I wish I could find about all of the things that were being cut from the Major Mailing Company budget.
That would explain it! I tried for 4 and usually get them, but never heard a thing. I went back to the site and saw nothing and figured they'd all been grabbed fast, which didn't make sense but I didn't know what to think. That's really interesting, and now I don't feel so bad about not getting those. But, I do have 4 scenario A shops to do this week.

I am not sure how many they used to have, but there are over 600 of them posted as of a few minutes ago.
I stand corrected, abut 1/4 of the shops have reappeared for my state. I jumped the gun, however, I still feel they will end soon. Just my opinion.
I had a recent non-mystery shop experience at my local post office which I may describe in more detail another time. Suffice to say, disposing of a whole lot of arrogant, "you can't fire me, I am union," people would do more for their budget than eliminating mystery shopping.
Holding my breath to see if I get paid for a bunch of these. Zone 0 on many of the ones I've done this week, although I've also shipped some to Zone 3 and 7. I surely didn't note that new rule. That's dumb...some of these Zone 0 offices are 30 miles from me.

Did you send to to the same Zip Code as the office you were mailing them from? According to the chart, as long as it is another zip code than the one for the office you are mailing from it is considered a Zone 1.

The problem though is that now the directions say that it isn't just the same zip code it can not be sent it, the packages can not be sent to the same city as the building you are shipping from.

You need to get the client out of the post. smiling smiley

Thanks - edited

I reread the instructions and you are correct. I had not encountered any problems with this as I live in a rural area and there is only 1 location per town/city.

It's that way for me too. One shipping location per city.
I did a *mail* shop the other day and swear the lady in front of me was doing the same thing as me. Would they send out two shoppers to the same location? or am I paranoid?
