I just seared a small check roast, then added some mushroom soup, onions, shiitake mushrooms and spices, covered it and popped it into a very slow oven. So, pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, and either carrots or Brussels sprouts or both. Basically this makes its own gravy. If it is took thick I will just thin it with a little red wine about an hour before it is done.

I bought ground lamb (on sale) never had it, so will try lamb burgers, wishing they were lamb chops which I used to eat as a child.

Lamb burgers are wonderful! You can also brown some ground lamb, drain the fat and combine with orzo and sauteed spinach with some sage, lemon juice and mint.

I defrosted what I thought was guacamole only to find that it is pesto. So, a rather summery sort of supper coming up: angel hair pasta with pesto, diced tomato and shrimp. A little French bread for mopping up.
