Making turkey soup. I have a bag of turkey bone that I have been accumulating in the freezer. Will make the base and later add the left over turkey meat. Just in time for bitter cold and ice, this coming weekend.

Absolutely on the coffee! I'm getting ready for a casino shop where the details are getting changed, so I may very well forget to PM you by the end of this post, but if you do not hear from me in a PM, feel free to send me one as well. I intend to send it shortly, but.. well... and here's the *other* thing I have to report today as my "non-shopping"...
I got back in touch with a friend who I was sort of interested in a while back. We spent 4 hours talking last night. I was up until 3:30, and of course today is the day that one of my shops gets tricky... so what am I doing today.. being kind of excited, but overly tired, and dreading this drive to the casino and the impending detailed shop. Really hope I don't miss anything, lol. 'Cause I know where my mind ain't gonna be.

I bleached my roots today. I dyed my ends a darker blonde a few months back, The bleach on the roots, over time, turned the dark ends platinum during rinsing. That's very hard to maintain. I'm pretty much back to platinum again.

Today was being a house-mouse day; laundry, emptying dishwasher, and grocery shopping because yesterday I was gone most of the day doing shops. I also cooked macaroni and cheese with spinach for dinner after going out to lunch with book club friends.
lolol. I used to do that. The rest of the story is just sick. 'If Tomorrow Comes' is more than a Sidney Sheldon book title. It was the theme of this cleaning service.that for whatever reason, chose to treat me as a non-entity: a nuisance without a life, a schedule, and above all to be disrespected, ignored, overlooked, and re-scheduled so many times that there was no need for them at all. I soon tired of that and ended the association.
Many years later, I can appreciate why it is such a hassle for schedulers and clients when life happens and mystery shoppers must re-schedule planned work.

Today, I am looking at recipes to make a natural muscle rub. Took my friend to the store, picked up the ingredients I didn't have on hand. Went and had a Xolair injection, and now I'm wondering if I'm having a reaction to it. I think I'm okay, though. About 20 minutes ago, my arm was itchy at the injection site, but that seems to have gone away.
So, I'm back to looking for my other IC work, unless something awesome comes in for MS. Otherwise, I'll be browsing natural remedies for different things.

When I lived in LA, a date and I walked through an alley to go to our destination. Alleys are LA's version of Freecycle. There were a ton of books. I picked up a French cookbook from the 1940s. I made a dish from that cookbook tonight, from memory. Butter, bacon, potatoes and onions. Simple, but so delicious. And my house smells like butter!

Yeah, I don't like the natural care products on the market, mostly. I actually would love to start that as my own business. I've tried a lot of them, and thus far, there's very few that are actually natural, and even fewer still that actually work the way I want them to. But, there are a TON of recipes on the net that I want to try. This one I've now got to get around to making is for a friend who is already on so many drugs for epilepsy that in a lot of ways, it's a risk to put him on other drugs, but the muscle pain stems from a back injury which he's reinjured and the muscles are giving him trouble. So... we shall see. He'll be a guinea pig. :cackles madly:
I need to get my hands on an original or old copy of the Joy of Cooking. They've revised it and there are new versions, but I'm a) unwilling to pay for an out of print copy at a "vintage" price, and b) not really sure I want the updated version. IDK, I might try it. Mmm, to the butter and onions. Yum.

More research - maybe create the muscle rub today. I think I want to add some other stuff. I was considering adding sea salt as a mineral supply but not sure if I would need to counteract the effect of the salt on the skin or not. If so, I need to figure out what to use.

Yesterday I accepted a temporary job as a Census Enumerator. I have to be fingerprinted at one of their authorized locations and just figured out the closest one is 16 miles away (with a second 20 miles away). Will research shops in those two areas before making the appointment.

Wales, it stalled out in Ohio. It's an icy, slushy mess outside here. Maybe you will get lucky and it will be mild by the time it gets to your region.

I was going to do a demo today at a healthfood store, but we got 4 inches of snow overnight and then it started sleeting/raining, and then the wind picked up. I saw the weather report a few days ago so I rescheduled well in advance so I didn't leave anyone hanging. Going next weekend instead. If it's a little cold, that's one thing, but lugging a demo table and my supplies into a store when it's windy and I have to traipse through wet, heavy snow...NO.
Just loaded the dishwasher. I am going to detail the guest bathroom today, dust/clean/mop. Maybe I will do some laundry, too. I started red sauce for pasta in the crockpot yesterday morning with filet mignon scraps, Italian sausage, ground turkey, garlic, fresh mushrooms, and onions. I will add the fresh herbs from my indoor herb garden last minute before serving.

Nope. That combo produces a lovely sauce. About 6 oz of pesto, one pack of Ranch mix, 1/2 cup broth. So, if you have those on your shelves, plus chicken parts, you are all set.

Nope, the raw bacon cooks in the butter. So good! You just large chop the ingredients, layer the potatoes and onion, and cook for 20 minutes.

I think the two recipes combined together might be interesting. Potato-bacon-butter-onion-chicken-broth-pesto-ranch. Steamed broccoli on the side. I still think I would probably want to partially cook the bacon because of all that fat. Maybe cook it about halfway just so that it wasn't so grease-laden.
