Tonight is country style pork ribs simmered down with onions, served with caesar style romaine salad, garlic mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and an apple pie.

Aiprport Circuit Shop swag: shrimp lo mein, to which I am adding some fresh spinach. I have enough for about 3 meals, so even though I went over the reimbursement by $1.50, I am happy!

More shop swag: I took a steak quesadilla and layered it with refried beans, cheese and enchilada sauce to make a traditional layered enchilada. Add guac and chips and dinner for 2-3 nights!
Why does this spell checker not recognize quesadilla? Is this not a major food group according to the FDA?

I read Cettie's post 3 times and every time I missed the comma between corn and beets. I got my face all scrunched up and squinty trying to figure what the heck "corn beets" are. SMH

My son brought home sushi galore and a lot of sashimi, which is my favourite. I had miso and some salad.
He, on the other hand had home made siomi which he liked very much. My first time to try making it. Next time I will make the wrapper from scratch.
More creative cookery with shop swag. I got a steak, cheese and bean burrito with no rice at Quizno's. At home I removed some of the excess tortilla, sort of squashed the burrito into an oven proof dish, topped it with medium hot enchilada sauce and lots of shredded three cheese mix and baked, covered for 30 minutes. Had this with a side of guac and chips. Leftovers tonight!

Turkey/chicken stew in the crockpot with basil, garlic, grated carrots, mushrooms, bell pepper, and onion, last 30 minutes, put in chive and onion cream cheese spread - delish. Peach cobbler for dessert.
Bubble and Squeak with peas. (So then I like to call it "Bubble and Pop" because I add the frozen peas last so they're nice and green and then they kinda pop! )
Where are we going... and why are we in a hand basket?
Pulled pork sandwiches. My last grocery store shop/audit I got 20 pounds of meat for $25. The manager even pointed out some meat that was going to be marked down and marked it down for me so I woud get the new price. 10 punds of ribs and 10 pounds of pork roast.
