free meal (i work third shift at mcds) new pulled pork sandwich, fries, and as much diet coke and water as i can hold during a 7 hour shift... which is a lot...

I am going out to do that carryout pizza shop where you get $50 worth of food! Will freeze the (required) pizza and have a pasta dinner.

Firing up the grill and going to bbq a couple of pork tenderloins and some chicken leg quarters. Putting a 16-spice rub on the pork and then a mustard-based bbq sauce on the pork and chicken. Will decide which to have when I'm done and the rest in the freezer.

Tonight was chicken in a balsamic/lime marinade and then baked. I also made Parmesan potatoes and broccoli. Tomorrow night we are eating out!

Oh, I'd love to eat pizza now. I have all the ingredients and I asked my son to come for dinner. But I did not serve pizza because he asked me to prepare his favourite egg roll, instead. I made some pulled pork with pineapple. I can't stop eating the sweet cherry tomatoes from his girlfriend's garden. And she also gave me apples and pears from her trees. Will make some apple crumble soon.

We had gift cards for a nice restaurant that we don't visit much since we retired. I had a Bellini, garden salad with spicy glazed pecans & honey mustard dressing and butternut squash ravioli. My husband wanted prime rib, but they were out, so he had short ribs w/garlic mashed and veg.

Chilly and rainy day. I made white chili. Jalapeno cornbread baked in a cast iron skillet that generations before me used. Delicious, but cannot be re-created without one of my skillets.

If we get a sweet tooth later, we'll have store bought, yummy, Mrs.Thinster's Brownie Batter Cookie Thins, and milk.

Making a Greek style stew with lamb, spinach, orzo, onions, carrots, Kalamata olives, dates, seasoned with sage, lemon and mint and simmered in home made chicken stock. . Crusty French bread for sopping.
