Chipotle Shops

On top of that, I did the shop after the cut off. I hope it is still accepted. Otherwise, I will be getting a taco on Sunday.

So apparently if your order is wrong, you are not supposed to correct it. The MSC excepts you to eat food you didn't order so the crew can learn from their mistakes?
And there is no additional pay so the shopper is dinged in payment.
And if the food is not edible the shopper also misses the benefit of lunch!

I'm sorry but that is incredibly foolish. If I ordered sofritas but was given chicken instead I am not going to eat something I didn't order nor am I going to throw the food away. I know the msc reads this board so maybe they can come up with an alternative to what a reasonable expectation and outcome should be.
If you have your order corrected at the time the crew will still learn from their mistake and corporate will still know because of your report.

the msc does not want us to return any food or correct any orders during our evaluation. Instead, they want us to detail everything in the report.
I got that and was just commenting about, "The MSC excepts you to eat food you didn't order so the crew can learn from their mistakes," because I didn't find it to be mutually exclusive. I never have understood the rationale behind setting up a shop as a flat fee or reimbursement only, thus having the meal be part or all of the value, then taking away that value.

In my case, I was supposed to visit by 230, but I got there at 3pm. I am still waiting to hear if I need to reshop.

Earlier this month, I got a horrible bowl. Everything that could have been wrong with it was wrong. Bad. Every single ingredient. As a shopper, I could not return it.

You can do the lunch shops as late as 2:30 in your area? In mine, the lunch time frame is 11:30-2.
Yep. And I went at 3pm.

Darn wine store!

No more 'arrive five minutes before" shops for me. Off street parking, traffic and other factors interfere with success.

Evaluating and mailing packages since 1994
Robin, my plan is always to place the order from the parking lot for a 15 minute pick up. I then check my email, and delete the auto dual visits and steakhouse shops. I then go into the restaurant and use/evaluate the bathroom. Then I go to the cashier for my order.

Monday just went sideways. The wine store had me twisted.

Are the guidelines different in every part of the country? My guidelines say you must place your order at least 30 minutes before the requested pickup time. My allowed hours seem to be shorter, ending at 2:00 for lunch.
Clearly, I didn't read the guidelines in detail this month!

In the past there have been slightly different guidelines depending on the area. For instance when I did them several years ago a drink was required in my area. There were other people who stated the same but most people argued that a drink was not required. I would guess that in some areas they were, and some were not.

bgriff, my guidelines didn't say one way or the other. I'm still twisted about the wine store. They had malbecs that I never tried!

In the reference notes for this type of shop it says to place the order 30 minutes in advance. For busy locations allow one hour. I don't think the reference notes vary for different areas. We were instructed to read the reference notes (in addition to the guidelines) before performing the shop.

You are absolutely correct, kenasch!

10 years ago you had to get a drink for DSL orders. That changed a year or two later and is stll the same, no drink required. Currently you have to order 30 minutes in advance and arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. In my area the cutoff time to arrive at lunch is 2 pm. Honny, they likely will not reject your report but will put a note in the editor file that you shopped during the incorrect time frame.

was this a shop? I love wine!
eye, the wine store was, unfortunately, not a shop.

JAS, my report was accepted.

Sticking with the wine store. Have you ever browsed their mixer aisle? As a Bar Rescue junkie, it was fascinating seeing all the ingredients I've only heard about before. Plus, I was able to find not one, but two brands of real grenadine. They are made with pomegranates and real sugar, not HFCS and red dye no. 5.

They have a mixer aisle? I don't venture outside of vino. I am a wineaux, after all!

OMG girl, it is impressive. All the standard bitters, grenadine and mixes, like Rose's and the lot, along side versions from small batch producers using traditional recipes. Who knew there are about 15 different bitters from grapefruit to lavender? They also carry my favorite all natural tonic, Fever Tree. Any tonic drinkers out there really need to give it a try sometime.

Oh wow, I remember Rose's! My Dad has it in his home bar.

The few times I've ventured outside of wine, I ended up with a wicked hangover. Lesson learned.
