This thread is seriously off topic. Remember, it is about Chipolte, not other things.
Actually, Rousseau, this thread is about whatever we discuss.

Is it hopeless waiting to get that elusive Chipoltle training email?

Does the MSC even hire ppl anymore?

It depends on your definition of hopeless. If you lose hope because you can't get the training immediately after applying, then it is hopeless. Depending on your area and how many shoppers are already training in your area, the wait may be 6 months - 2 years or longer.

Yes, the MSC is currently training new shoppers in particular areas. This MSC is unusual because they invest time and money in their mystery shoppers with training. The company values their current shoppers and as long as they have available shoppers in an area, they will not train new shoppers. This is a company that prefers to utilize its trained shoppers with track records rather than creating a lot more unnecessary shoppers. Chipotle locations used to be shopped more frequently and they have cut back. Because there are fewer shops, there really isn't as much demand for new shoppers. Those who live in an area where a lot of new Chipotle locations are popping up have the best chance of getting training quickly.
I can't remember the time it took from signing up with the MSC to being offered training, but it was several months. Then, training offered in 2 different locations within a week, both locations were about 45 minutes to an hour away from me, but after completing the training I'm able to do the shops closest to me. Hang in there!
Just a reminder that we need to keep specifics, such as KQ stuff, required timeframes, etc. off this forum per the msc. Any questions should be directed on the msc's Facebook page.
Time frames are open questions.....

I went to an Occupational Health conference at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida this week. Chipotle was featured in one of the presentations on the Foodborne Illnesses break out sessions.

My only feedback stated not to mention the height of the crew member in the description.

that's odd, I always mention the gender, height, age range, hair color, jeans/pants, cell phone if visible (usually in back pocket) and any visible tattoos and piercing
Eye, the MSC doesn't say anything about your descriptions with height and age? I was told at training that those two were big no nos.

The MSC ignores a lot. If descriptions aren't quite what they want, they ignore. If a shopper doesn't follow the guidelines completely, they pass it through if it isn't a big deal. This is one of easiest companies I've worked with as far as editing. They make a big deal out of how important the time frames are, too, but they are very lenient.
When you told us about your report when your food was ordered only 15 minutes before you picked up and you picked up later than the lunch time frame, I figured your report would be accepted and I was glad to hear that it was. Did they even scold you or did they just ignore?
they probably mentioned it at training but I don't remember that. I specifically remember being told to exclude race and weight.

I literally just mention gender, facial hair and the presence of piercings or tattoos. I was explicitly told to avoid height, race, age and hair color and style for some reason..
I had no idea they were that lenient on the time frames. I've aborted shops due to being a few minutes out of the stated time frame; this is out of habit from working for other companies. I also just don't like testing the boundaries on things like time. I remember before arrival and departure time were made part of the report, I had to explain I arrived before 8 pm because my receipt time was something ridiculous like 8:05 pm. Now, I can laugh about it I guess...
have the new shops been released? I have not been assigned any yet.
Honny, Di Seno is an inexpensive ($10-$12) Malbec that is very tasty for the price. Hubby and I love it.

I used to be an editor for the MSC. As an editor, I deleted a lot of stuff. I usually didn't bother giving feedback about not putting stuff in the descriptions, I just deleted it. Most of it is not really a no-no but just not necessary. If I did mention it in the feedback, it was only to save shoppers some time and effort when writing reports. All they really want is gender, piercings, and unusual hair colors for descriptors (and facial hair like Misanthrope posted). Most everyone has brown hair so they think it's redundant. Blonde hair, red hair, green hair, etc. are worth commenting about. Now, race and age are definitely a no-no. They don't like that at all.
Key to knowing is to look at the orphan list.... if there is one or none then probably not released......
if you see some then released....

They are always released on the 1st. I got my accept/decline emails two days ago. And if you log in you can see on your dashboard.
Not true....in that they may be released to the scheduler he/she does not always put up on the first.

Actually the schedulers, have access long before the first. All my assignments are from before the first. It is up to the scheduler to release them to the shopper(s) on the first. And I have always received my assignments on the first. If you are getting assignments after the first, they were probably declined by someone else and then offered to you off the Orphan List.

Mine have always been released on the 1st and I have been shopping with this MSC since 2006. I am just speaking from my personal experience. Who is your scheduler, CM?
I know that Deanna knows well in advance which locations she is going to assign to me. I often email her with special requests if I am going to be working in one of the areas on my "can shop" list and she will let me know if it's one she has already assigned to me or not, and she generally will switch things around to accommodate me if not.
They were released in the morning, fairly early, on Saturday, July 1. My shops have always been released on the first day of the month.

My shops also are already released to me on the 1st every month when I wake up. There is a list that current shoppers can look at to pick up shops someone else has decided not to do. I also looked to see the list where they need more shoppers as my driving area has changed somewhat and it was quite long although my state is large and none of them were near me. The areas where they need shoppers for several locations would probably have a training as soon as they get around to it.
Forum guidelines and most ICAs prevent anyone from revealing the client of a mystery shopping.

I just did my first shop for them! Yay! My feedback stated that I pointed out some interesting observations. Not sure what that meant, but I guess I'm good to go now smiling smiley

Doing what I can to enhance the life of my family! I LOVE what I do smiling smiley
I've always gotten mine on the first as well but I figured with the holiday it may have been delayed. I'll reach out to my scheduler as I usually receive two or three locations.
