National Shopping Service is an FBN (Fictitious Business Name) registered with the Placer County Clerk's office. The incorporated name is Business Index Group, Inc.

NSS registration: [countyfusion4.propertyinfo.com] (You probably will have to click to "Accept" the website's terms. Then choose Search Public Records, Fictitious Business Names. Type in National Shopping Service

CA registration for Business Index Group Inc.: [businesssearch.sos.ca.gov]

Maybe the search needs to shift to whoever is handling matters for Business Index Group Inc?

Good job!

Based on the about us page, he owned the private company himself. so would not I assume his wife be his heir? I believe she is Susan Meyrs Wozniak, tthe HR for Bill Tacos, inc. in Auburn, CA.

You would assume so, but it all depends on whether or not he had a will and how the provisions in that were drawn up.

Once Daniel Wozniak is approved by the court as the estate's admin. (petition hearing on 6/28), all docs submitted to, and approved by, the probate court will be public record in conjunction with probate case # S-PR-0008681, which can be accessed on the Placer County Probate Court’s site.

In the meantime, I would be relentless in sending correspondence via snail mail (with proof of delivery) detailing your claim information to NSS’s physical address of:
National Shopping Service
2510 Warren Drive, Suite B
Rocklin, CA 95677

and to

BUSINESS INDEX GROUP, INC.
(at the same address as above)

and to

Spencer T. Malysiak Law Corporation
Re: The Estate of Matthew Wozniak
3500 Douglas Blvd., Suite 200
Roseville, CA 95661

You might also continue to email the supposed contact for this issue at the above law firm. He is probably a paralegal that this payment issue has been foisted onto. He’s not listed on the firm’s site as an attorney.
Email address is: Richard@malysiaklaw.com

Documentation and proof of your payment due claim is crucial…even if you don’t receive a response.
Please be sure any emails or letters are totally professional and to the point.

Hoping that once that reporter’s article is published, all these things will fall into place in favor of the shoppers that are owed money.

PS- I never did receive a response to my email yesterday to this Richard guy…didn’t really expect to. They are going to ignore inquiries as long as they can.

Plus, if anyone has a friend who is an attorney and will do it for free, an official inquiry letter sent by an attorney requesting the name of the company’s legal representation never hurts.

Good luck!

Here's a bit of good news for a change.
1 shopper has posted on fb that she just got paid in full. Granted, it was for a phone shop, but hopefully the payments will continue!

Can you post a URL to this please?

It's on the IMSC fb page. You'll have to put in a request to access the page

Can you link to the IMSC fb page.

There's only one IMSC fb page I see that is out of date and doesn't even have an option to join.

Link please.
Did the shopper who got paid happen to post a date on which that occurred and when the shop had been performed?

You're finding the wrong IMSC. The IMSC we are talking about is the Independent Mystery Shoppers Coalition. I think only those who have joined the IMSC and paid dues can view the post being discussed.
Well, to those who have joined the IMSC, please enlighten us on details if you can. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I jumped the gun and assumed that she had just been paid for a shop done March-May. In fact, it was just a comment that when she did a shop for them in the distant past, she had been paid. I guess she didn't bother to read what the thread was about or all the prior comments before posting.
Sorry....

I thought it was odd that one person would be paid when so many of the rest of us had not. I am owed nearly $600 but hoping for the best. I have made a good amount of money with this company over the past decade or so, and I know I can write this off on my taxes, but trying to stay positive at the moment and hoping we all will get paid.
Is there a consumer reporter or the Better Business Bureau that y'all can contact for this part of California? (Sacramento area, right?) They know how to help people who are owed money in weird situations. [www.bbb.org] [abc7news.com] someone who is owed some money could contact them and try to get a professional helper on your side. Maybe they can talk to the lawyers?
One shopper did email the law firm partner, Spencer T. Malysiak, who is directly handling the probate (email address is Spencer@malysiaklaw.com ) and got a professional response stating that he "may" know who the NSS attorney is and would forward her email to him. He also stated that until an estate administrator has been assigned by the court (that's the petition by Daniel Wozniak that will be heard by the court on 6/28) there are limitations on what can be addressed.

There is already a reporter who is researching a story on this.

BBB will not help independent contractors on matters like this. I tried back when Franchise Compliance went out of business several years ago and left me and other shoppers unpaid. I tried the Attorney General, the Labor Board, and the BBB. Each of them said it was not a matter that they could address.
I am like the rest of us is owed bonus pay PLUS reimbursement from NSS for March, April and May. Today I just picked up the phone and called the 800# as well as the local area code phone number. The call is redirected to the independent phone company. I did 22 shops in March, 22 in April and 28 in May. I am out quite a bit of money just on the reimbursement alone. This is so aggravating and what is the next step as I live in Houston, TX.
Pawtrisha223 - If you look up further on the thread it has been recommended that we print off all our documentation from the NSS website before it goes away in order to support our claims if need be. You will also see Inside Evaluators' post where she lists the attorney who will be handling the probate matter. Another attorney will be handling the business affairs (we do not know who this is). She suggested we do a certified letter to the probate attorney and also one to the NSS accounting address. She has also provided those addresses.
I just sent the following email to Spencer@malysiaklaw.com

Dear Sir-
Can you please provide me with contact information for the attorney(s) representing National Shopping Service, or with the contact information for the current representative of National Shopping Service, or with the contact information of someone who can provide that information?

While I understand that your firm is only representing the estate of Matthew Wozniak and that Letters of Administration for the petitioner, Daniel Wozniak, have not yet been issued by the court, the information I am requesting is critical to many, many Independent Contractors owed money by this company, especially since the majority of the payments due are in the form of reimbursements for substantial out of pocket expenses incurred during the performance of evaluations for NSS.

May I respectfully suggest that, if possible within the current restraints on the Estate, a temporary alternative would be to have either payment inquiry information or information regarding the procedure that will be followed to get Independent Contractors paid prominently displayed on the main page of National Shopping Service's website so that your firm is not inundated with continued requests for information.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Joan Gingras

I JUST get an email from Katy Gravatt of Superior Customer Solutions.(888) 928-5868. I am offered to do my usual restaurant (not PJ) and was in an uproar. Emailed her back telling her what shoppers are going through, and I wouldn't do more work when they owe me from March.

My mistake as I hadn't heard the whole story. Katy Gravatt owes above company and just got the account and is scheduling for herself for June. Apologies for jumping the gun.....

Irene, is Superior Customer Solutions part of NSS or a different company?

Irene - I don't think Katy has any control over the problem we are having other than that she has probably got more info. about what's going on than we do. What's the difference between her trying to till her shops and Intellishop trying to fill the other pizza account shops? By the way, the shops I used to do for $20 bonus are going for $7 bonus for now.
Superior Customer Solutions? why they asking to do shops for NSS?
