What does it mean to be deactivated? Do they tell you they are doing it, or do you just realize one day that you no longer get shops from them? If you are deactivated, do they pay you for any jobs you have completed and not yet been paid for?

You can deactivate your own account. I did that with 2 MSC. Both I did only a few shops for. The last one because I got fed up with the requirements of the shop. They only had one kind of shop in my area, a pizza shop.

Note to others:
They actually have (in his specific area): Comedy Club with drinks, grocery stores, upscale dining, casual dining, ice cream store, bowling, movie theaters, smoothies, 4 upscale hotels, and pizza.
So, deactivating is not usually a smart thing to do. You don't have to do every type of shop. You just have to do every type of shop that you do correctly and well.

I had been with them for a couple of years. The ONLY shops offered in my area (within 20 miles) has been a pizza shop and a hot dog shop. They don't even offer the hot dog shop anymore. DE activing my account was a good thing.

How would you know my area? So what if someone toggles another person's post. That's what the toggle is for. To toggle. That's why it's called a "toggle"

Feel free to go back and remove it from your old post. I am not going to make it easy for everyone.

Amazing that in this industry that you go into beg mode to do work. Only in mystery shopping do we kow tow to a scheduler, a stranger. It is like the first or second date that never calls back. Sooooo. Bad. Deplorable, as a matter of fact!

Karen, I thought that working for a couple of years would open up new, better paying shops, too, I am at the 2 year mark and nothing has changed. Same boring, list. Same rates.
Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.
