Marketforce payment

I just can no longer do shops without getting paid, to do more shops. I NEED that money to continue on. Mystery shoppers are the LEAST able to take a hit like this. We're not rich. That's why we do mystery shopping....

Well, if they don't pay, remember to write the loss off when you do your taxes. Also remember to notify MSPA and leave a google review.

So it’s probably a new accountant, as I suspected. It may take the new person a while to get everything right because I can imagine Marketforce’s account is very complicated.

I can only imagine their balance sheets, having to figure out all of us contractors (with some getting more fees than others, some getting a tiny amount vs some getting hundreds), I can get very complicated quickly if one number is off.

Anyway, hope they figure out soon!

I just received a call from one of my favorite schedulers. "Could I please go to a location 175 miles R/T for $50?" Umm, no...that distance requires 3 times that amount. I then said if the shoppers knew what the issue is all about, maybe we'd be more comfortable accepting shops today. Her answer did not comfort me. "A new payroll person" was her comment.

You can only "write off" the missing reimbursement.

The fee itself cannot be "written off".

The mileage and other expenses involved in the unpaid shops CAN be deducted.

Thank you very much! If I don't see my May payment by Friday, I will be emailing them. Much appreciated!

This message about may payments was on my MF home page last night "NEW UPDATE - Shopper Payments
June 25, 2019 May Shop Fees & Reimbursements

You will begin seeing Direct Deposits for the May shop fees and reimbursements in your accounts starting Wednesday, June 26, and continuing Thursday, June 27,depending on your bank processing times.

Thank you for your patience while we worked through this matter. We do apologize for the delay."

Pay careful attention to THIS phrase (emphasis added by me): You will begin seeing Direct Deposits for the May shop fees and reimbursements in your accounts starting Wednesday, June 26, and continuing Thursday, June 27. It doesn't actually SAY that everyone will be paid for their May shops by Thursday...it simply states that May shop payments will BEGIN on Wed & Thurs.....so this may not be over by this week at all.....Corp email addresses given in an above post....might do some good to email them...I know I am going to if I don't have my May payments by the end of the week.
I'm assuming no one else is seeing payments today ? (as noted on the dashboard that May jobs will go today or tomorrow)
I would not get worried unless it is a few weeks past due and remember in this business past performance does not indicate current.

Well, my bank is showing a deposit from MF with total covering at least expected payment for May, not sure if any June payments in. Deposit not available until June 28th. Nothing showing on payment history on website. Interesting that it's not available till 28th when normally it would be available on 27th. Makes me wonder what was known last week when scheduler told me it would be 28th before I got paid.

@calsim11...
well at least you know that it will be there. I have nothing. No proof of anything
I have nothing either. Still a little worried.

On a side note, there is not an accountant or bookkeeper figuring out the vendor payments. I would think the whole process is automated (or it should be).

I’m not buying that excuse.
I've also had a Market Force payment added for the expected May amount within the last half hour, but mine is available already.

I'm not buying that either. How many months have they had to work on this?

MF never said it was an accountant. That was just speculation on here. They have not given an explanation and probably never will.
My bank statement always shows "Market Force Mf Payroll" followed by my name and the amount deposited, despite the fact we are independent contractors, not employees.
Another MF payment showed up in my account this morning, but it is still less than half of what I was owed. This is getting old quick.

Banks don't know or care if we are employees or indepentent contractors. That is between us and The MSC and Uncle Sam

As of today, I've been paid for my early June shop on Monday June 24th (cleared by my bank and posted to my account on Tuesday the 25th). Nothing yet for May shops, but it sounds like they're starting to trickle in. Hopefully we'll all get paid by the end of the week in time for the weekend and/or bills that are due on the 1st.

@shoppingfool, my post was in response to previous posts where a scheduler told a shopper that MF had a "new payroll person."
Quite right. I forgot that. Maybe MF doesn't know the difference!*

*that's a joke

I just received my DD for May shops. About $20 less than my records show, but I did a lot of fast food shops that went over max reimb. Althought MF did send a notice that if all the guidelines were followed, the overage would be paid in full.

No payment shows on MF website yet, but I did get the money!!!!!
Several people are not reading the posts from earlier today, then they posted multiple times and scrolled to a new page.

Payments were posted today as reported by myself and several others. They were for whatever was on our Payment History page, which I believe was for shops performed in early June.

Anyone that has received a payment should check their Payment History so they can identify which shops were covered.

I am guessing here, but if you do not see anything on your payment history for this month yet then you may not have a disbursement processing yet.

MF uses several feeds for payments. Our itemized payments are an independent file updated to our online account. The ACH payments themselves are a batch file processed through MFs payment system, much like most companies payroll systems. That file is parallel to the itemized file, and should balance against it. It contains banking information that the itemized file would not contain. I assume a separate batch file is sent for those paid by paper check, or they are also flagged in the main batch file.

As far as a new payroll person, that makes no sense. The core system is in place, most likely highly automated. After being audited someone clicks a flag and the files are transmitted.

Isiah, no payment is reflected in my MF account yet. And the amount matches what I expected for my May shops (except what I mentioned above). None of my June shops have been paid -- and I suspect that's because I did not do my very first June shop until 6/22.
Payment pending in my bank account matches what I am due for May with no payment history being posted on MF website. Not concerned because same exact thing has happened in the past with payment showing at bank and nothing showing in payment history. That's why I have a ledger at home that I track with rather than rely on information. Generally the payment history reflects the transaction after it has occurred.
