Chipotle Shops

Me too, and I love Chipotle. The MSC for them said the shops are on hold for now. Have you tried the Bangkok Shrimp Bowl? Delish!!!!

I've never heard of California Tortilla. We have Hotheads and Qdoba but they aren't as good as Chipotle.
They aren't everywhere, but they are really good. They have a wide variety of creations.

I got a taco for my shop today, and I'll get a CT bowl for lunch this week.

How are people doing their reports in 30 minutes? I usually get a loaded bowl, and the report takes 2.5 hours. Yesterday, I got a single taco with 3 ingredients, and the report took two hours.

With the old report it took an hour, with the new report 30 minutes. You are giving way more detail than they need, and I think you are multitasking during your report, LOL.

Since the change, it hasn't taken me over 30 mins
Are you including the time it takes to perform a microscopic analysis on each ingredient?smiling smiley

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I especially remember the owner telling me to be especially kind to the shoppers when giving feedback. She said, "We need them more than they need us." I thought then and still do that this was an awesome philosophy from an MSC.

Either that opinion has changed or one of their editors did not follow it.
The last shop I did for them my feedback was "it would be really nice if you actually read the guidelines before performing the shop."
This was especially infuriating because the KQ was to ask what items were gluten free and stated we could ask the question in our own words and the editor didn't like the way I phrased the question. If you are not going to like the way people phrase a question don't tell them they can phrase it however they want. Not only was the insinuation rude, it was doubly rude since I did read the directions and followed them.

Honny I cannot do a chipotle report in 30 minutes but as you can tell by my posts I write way too much! lol I am down to a little over an hour and I order almost all the ingredients on my rofltaco. You are not alone.
Honny, I'm with you. My experience didn't seem to match the comments on the forum. Until this month, the report would not allow me to submit until I responded to every single question on appearance of the food. If there wasn't a line backer or an expediter, I still had to write a comment. It took a looong time to complete the report. And the editor would say, "Thanks for all the extra details" --like I had a choice smiling smiley This month that didn't happen and it was much faster.
Frustrating to see shoppers that get non edible food with clumps, burnt, missing etc and are told do not bring attention and JUST write it up. Ok. We are getting paid to eat and write report. But in the end many meals are tossed and no financial benefit to a meal that is not edible. That JUST write it up comment which is seen often does not compensate the missed meal. Or the extra cost the shopper endures in the added charges that should not occur on sides .... oh JUST write it up. Ok but are you going to compensate me? Nope nothing extra for that. We absorb the cost.
Bgriff--that is awful and if Tracey or Corey found out about that she or he would be heavily reprimanded.

Chris--that is so weird. I've never had to comment on food items unless they were a "no" to get the report to submit, though of course I always comment on the items in my bowl.

Canada, you're right. And thank goodness none of the Chipotle locations in my area have served me crappy food. (other than the chips) or I would never go back.
So I did another one taco online order today...the other day it was a huge one taco..a true rofltaco..Today I ordered one taco and they delivered three to me. As we are not supposed to ask for a change when they make mistakes with our orders I had to be satisfied with eating three tacos instead of one for the price of one!!! It was a chore keeping quiet about it but I managed. lol
Sigh...I always multitask. It's how my brain is wired. I'll try not to multitask for my shop on Sunday and see how that goes. That will hurt my brain.

I'm doing tacos at Chipotle now. The MSC for California Tortilla has the program on hold, so I need to get my own bonus points. They are my weekly lunch for now.

As for the "unnecessary details," I do a write up on the required items or items that have something wrong or spectacular. I don't see what I can cut.

eye, I didn't see the previous report, but how do you do this one in 30 minutes?

Yep, start to finish.

Sandy, for my weekly bowls, I order most of the food items (both beans, all of the salsas, one rice, one protein, cheese and sour cream). For my taco, I get 3 items (the minimum required). 2.5 and 2 hours respectively.

Right! I only write narratives on the required items, and check the boxes on everything else.

Yeah, that is frustrating. If my bowl is inedible, I have to buy my lunch for the week elsewhere. Even the chips, which I would not order on my own, are a waste when they are inedible.

Well, it was by far the best deal I have gotten at Chipotle...I paid $3.97 ate one taco for lunch with some chips and the other two for dinner. I added one sentence to my report that said my order was not accurate and why.
I am stuffed. Guess I should have tried to stretch it out but it was too good and I did not want the guac to get brown and the lettuce wilted...so what could I do. I have never had a meal I did not like at Chipotle..occasionally the chips are a bit thick but they are still good enuf to eat from my point of view and I am 3,000 miles away from the neurovirus....I shop at five or so locations.
Honey I did the report today in 50 minutes which is a record for me....I got rice, beans, double fajitas, guac, all the salsas, lettuce and cheese. A few issues to report as well but not many with a no. I copied the last report into a word doc and then copied and pasted the sections changing a few words and a few ideas into the new report....wrote an entirely new section for the no answers and the phone call and in a few other places where things were yes but completely different than last time.

Sandy, thank goodness it's norovirus and not neurovirus or you'd be too paralyzed to chew (bahhha). Though norovirus sounds awful, too. Sorry about the "sick" jokes, LOL.

I wonder if this will open up more locations for me next month? There are 8 locations within 15 miles of me.
I thought I'd share my experience in getting on with this company. I put in my application and was ready to wait a while for a training. Instead, within a week, I was offered to try out their new online training that they are testing. I was sent guidelines and a sample report, then a quiz. Now I'm just waiting to get through the paperwork to get set up so I can get my first shop. I'm a little nervous about the first one because it seems a bit involved, and since I didn't get the in-person training, I'm hoping that I don't have too much trouble with it. I've done several other dining shops, including a fine dining, but my experience with Chipotle is that the line just goes so fast that I'm hoping I can see everything in time. I am thinking of trying my first one when it's not right at lunch or dinnertime so it shouldn't be as busy.
If you can do fine dining you can easily pull off Chipotle. You don't have to know any names and as far as descriptions go, you only have to remember if they were male or female and add information about any tattoos, piercings, or hair color that isn't brown. The only timings involved are what time you entered, what time your receipt shows, and what time you left. If you had to wait on a line ingredient while waiting (doesn't happen very often to me) you would make note of how long that took, but they aren't all that concerned with it being down to the second. Overall, pretty easy report, though there are a lot of questions. Also keep in mind that with food descriptions, you really only have to comment if you answered no about the appearance of a food item on the line and give some comments about the way the ingredients you chose for your meal looked on the line. Then you give a brief description of how your meal tasted, but you don't have to do the kind of detail you do with fine dining. Don't be nervous, you''ll be fine. Oh, also, remember they don't like the word "employee", use "crew member" instead.
I'm at the same point lunajumper is, waiting for account to be set up. Can't wait to do my first shop for Chipotle. The person that "trained" me though said something that I'm worried about. "Please be sure to select the locations you are available for once you get logged in so I can schedule you appropriately.". So does that mean I need to select any location I"m willing to go to? I live in the Chicago area and travel to Cleveland every other week. Hundreds of locations I'm willing to go to but that doesn't mean I always can. They don't just schedule without asking first, right?
You canlist your regular locations that are nearby. It is possible to write notes next to each one such as that you can only do lunches or only weekends etc. For the out of town ones since the scheduler will not know your schedule you can email your scheduler (or to find out who is the scheduler for the cities you plan to be in) the month before your trip and let them know where you will be and which locations you can accept. If you go out of town regularly to the same place and want to do shops there it would be fine to list those as acceptable to you. They will send you jobs in the beginning of the month and you need to let them know within 24 hours or so whether you accept or decline. I would be careful of listing shops you are not sure you can do from month to month as it is okay to decline shops but if you have a pattern of declining several each month I am not sure how kindly they would look at that. After the declinations are in (by the 2nd or 3rd of the month) you can look at the list of shops that have reopened and accept them for yourself...
