I'm at the same point lunajumper is, waiting for account to be set up. Can't wait to do my first shop for Chipotle. The person that "trained" me though said something that I'm worried about. "Please be sure to select the locations you are available for once you get logged in so I can schedule you appropriately.". So does that mean I need to select any location I"m willing to go to? I live in the Chicago area and travel to Cleveland every other week. Hundreds of locations I'm willing to go to but that doesn't mean I always can. They don't just schedule without asking first, right?

I would just check off the Chicago area locations, and let your scheduler know you go to Cleveland every so often in case he/she gets an orphan out there that needs to be shopped. I would not check off the Cleveland locations as "stores you can shop" because you might wind up having the Cleveland trips put on hold during a month when that's all you get.

The way it works is every first of the month, they offer you locations, and then you have to accept them. If they are not accepted within a couple of days, the offer is withdrawn and they go up on the orphan board where anyone can then request them. In theory, you could still request them from there if someone has not beaten you to them but once a shop offered to you becomes an orphan, you run the risk of not getting it.
The BOGO coupon makes these shops easily worth it this month.

Tarantado, where do you get those coupons?

Jasimon, when they offer you the shops on the 1st of the month that you can accept or decline, you have between the 1st and 25th to do the ones you agree to do. They ideally would like about 1 shop per week but I sometimes wait until midmonth to even do the 1st one and it's not been a problem. VERY flexible MSC.

That link came up as a blank, black screen for me.

The link worked fine for me. The coupon is not valid for online or mobile app orders but is good until end of August.

It worked for me, too. The screen comes up as a blank, black screen initially. You have to wait about 15-20 seconds, maybe 30, and then it turns to an interactive screen. You build an order, like a bowl, and submit, and then it takes you to a screen to input your name and cell phone number. You have to be really patient, because it's very slow and the graphics are annoying. But then they immediately text the BOGO link to your phone.

Thanks, Tarantado.
Ahhh, that darned patience thing, LOL. I didn't wait long enough. I'll look later. Hopefully will be able to use for August shops depending on scenario.

You select to pay at the restaurant when ordering online or through the mobile app.... So when you arrive to pay, you present the coupon.

Didn't they set a schedule this month? The first shop had to be submitted the first week of July and remaining shops needed to be submitted at least one per week.

Did you actually use it? I'm going by the following which appears when you click on the coupon restrictions "i".

"Valid only at participating Chipotle restaurants; not valid for fax, online or mobile orders."

I guess it could depend on the cashier and/or manager. I will wait till next month to be safe.
They have been using those dates for a decade. I'm not advocating procrastination, I'm just saying it's never been a problem doing them a little later. Not nice to wait until the 25th or later, though.

That coupon link was way more fun than I expected it to be. smiling smiley

Okay, so I tried that link in both Mozilla and Google Chrome, both remained blank. I waited over five minutes.

Check your firewall settings and check if java and flash is enabled. Try incognito mode in Chrome. I'm even able to load it on my iPhone browser.

I got it to work in my antiquated, clunky IE that I never use. Thanks for the tip, T!!!!
I got the coupon. It expires in August, so I'll use it next month.

I got a lite bowl on my shop today. When I wrote my report, I made sure not to multitask. I finished it in under an hour!

I think that is one report where I need to stay focused from start to finish. Getting in and out of the mindset for that report seems to slow me down immensely. I think you just figured that out, huh, honey?
That's the way Ellis reports are for me. If I focus they take under an hour. If not, it seems interminable.

Exactly JAS! I focused on the report and got it done in good time.

It's soooo tempting to peek into the forum, check email, etc. while doing the report, LOL.
The other side of my multiasking is NetFlix, schoolwork or Candy Crush. And etc.

Thanks for the advice. I'm finally in their system and was looking at picking up an orphan near me in July. When ordering online, how do you realistically evaluate the appearance of all of the food on the line? Are there other parts of the report that you can skip when you order online, like what is being said on the line, or are you expected to observe other orders taking place and use those to complete the full report?

Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/24/2017 03:47PM by lunajumper.
Luna, when you order online, you can't evaluate the appearance of what's on the line except for what you can see from the register area when you pick up (if they only use one register for both online and dine-in, you might get a peek at the lettuce and guac). Just give comments about what's in your bowl and give all "yes" answers for everything else. I am going to PM you the rest because I don't want to risk a Chipotle manager or crew member to see it if they wander into the forum and read this (they might get a clue on how to figure out who shoppers are).
Ah, I just found the sample report for an online order, and it helps with what you told me, JAS. Thanks!
On the MSC's portal, there are specific guidelines that'll answer all your questions and the guidelines are written to be pretty straight forward as well, lunajumper.
