Chipotle Shops

when I signed with them only one Chipotle was in my area but I traveled to cover shops that were about an hour drive. But few years later they opened several locations in my area. I am still doing some long distances if have some others to pick on my way.

Las month, the cut off time was 230pm, and I performed the shop at 3pm (darn wine store). My shop was accepted.

I do my shops on Sundays, so I can have lunch a work for the week. If the last Sunday falls after the 25th, I'll ask if I can do it on that date. I've never been told no.

I had no idea they were that lenient on the time frames. I've aborted shops due to being a few minutes out of the stated time frame; this is out of habit from working for other companies. I also just don't like testing the boundaries on things like time. I remember before arrival and departure time were made part of the report, I had to explain I arrived before 8 pm because my receipt time was something ridiculous like 8:05 pm. Now, I can laugh about it I guess...

rofl taco, they accepted the report and left feedback to acknowledge the time frames.

The MSC ignores a lot. If descriptions aren't quite what they want, they ignore. If a shopper doesn't follow the guidelines completely, they pass it through if it isn't a big deal. This is one of easiest companies I've worked with as far as editing. They make a big deal out of how important the time frames are, too, but they are very lenient.
When you told us about your report when your food was ordered only 15 minutes before you picked up and you picked up later than the lunch time frame, I figured your report would be accepted and I was glad to hear that it was. Did they even scold you or did they just ignore?

HB, I love this company, don't you? If I come to your area, we should get together and eat Chipotle together.
I will try the malbec JAS, thanks for the recommendation!

I can't blame Chipotle for not wanting age and race mentioned in reports. I don't mention them in my reports for other MSCs.

Honny, Di Seno is an inexpensive ($10-$12) Malbec that is very tasty for the price. Hubby and I love it.

I used to be an editor for the MSC. As an editor, I deleted a lot of stuff. I usually didn't bother giving feedback about not putting stuff in the descriptions, I just deleted it. Most of it is not really a no-no but just not necessary. If I did mention it in the feedback, it was only to save shoppers some time and effort when writing reports. All they really want is gender, piercings, and unusual hair colors for descriptors (and facial hair like Misanthrope posted). Most everyone has brown hair so they think it's redundant. Blonde hair, red hair, green hair, etc. are worth commenting about. Now, race and age are definitely a no-no. They don't like that at all.

I got two assignments via email. I checked the orphan list on Monday, and got an additional one. Those three made me good for July,

Key to knowing is to look at the orphan list.... if there is one or none then probably not released......
if you see some then released....

Does Deanna also work for SeeLevel? I received an email from a Deanna at SeeLevel with the same last name.
Yes, I do. When you come here, I will treat you to a rofl taco!

I think so, but I never asked her. I've seen her emails also.

I completed my training as a new shopper in Dallas Fort Worth area last week and I got assigned a shop I saw on the orphan list for this month. I am still learning how this MSC works.
Yes, same Deanna. After they cut the number of shops for the MSC her pay went down as well, I'm sure. I bet she doesn't like scheduling for other MSCs nearly as much, it's difficult to get shoppers to do $10 shops.
It's brilliant to order tacos and get your side as the salsa so your tacos don't get soggy. Love it!
Don't the beans make the taco soggy?

I didn't get any assignments this month, so I don't have the scenario/KQ email. I'm going to pick one up from the orphan list. and it looks like the scenario is the same as last month? What about time restrictions and KQ - is that also the same as June? Can someone confirm this for me? I just want to be sure before I pick one up...
Xenshopoer, yes it's the same. If you are assigned a shop you will receive a confirmation email with the details.
Honny, I usually get either a burrito or soft flour tacos and always order beans. 95% of the time the beans don't make the meal soggy, but every now and then it seems like the server doesn't drain the beans enough, and the rice and tortilla get soaked... It's definitely not the norm, though.

You can get more than 1 item on the side, you know. You could put up to 3 items on the side. That should prevent soggy tacos.
Is it normal to not be assigned any shops? I am relatively new to working with this company. I was assigned shops for the 2 months right after I was trained. The next month I was going to be unavailable during the time frame required so I declined an assignment. Since then no assignments for a couple of months. Truthfully I forgot about them since I had only done a couple and it wasn't part of my routine. There are lots of locations in my area and I just peeked and there were a few nearby on the orphan list.
Just want to know if this is typical. Am I being punished for declining one? I am on the fence about these anyway. With the lowered fee, 1st week time frame, required call and mediocre food I kept getting - it just seems like more work for the money than other similar restaurant shops I do.
Mediocre food? Don't do them, then. My locations have great food. I spend roughly $7 and the payment is $21, so I make $14 profit plus food for a 30 minute visit and 25 minute report. Not bad pay.
sarashopper, if i thought the food was mediocre and the pay was not worth it, i would not do the shops. i do the shops and enjoy them, Since the requirements are less, i now think the money is worth it, i have declined shops several times and never felt punished. Maybe you should contact the scheduler to find out why you have not been offered shops. Or request an orphan.
rofl loves the food so much, we named a taco after him!

JAS, we would have to start shopping at the Halal House of Waffles. My waistline won't like that.

I got two this month! Happy to finally get started with them! How many is the norm for a shopper? We have about 9 in my city and I think I put the go ahead for 4-5 of them.

Doing what I can to enhance the life of my family! I LOVE what I do smiling smiley
I get between 2 and 4 per month; more if I hit the orphan list.

I do my shops on Sundays so I can have lunch for the week. I like to get at least that many shops.

I don't think there is a norm, it depends on the individual shopper. When I first started, they gave me more than I wanted to do in a month and I emailed the scheduler letting her know what was the perfect number for me and I get it every month. I love how this company works with you as long as you communicate with them. Best schedulers ever.
Sounds like there is no consensus on if this is normal. It seems like this just isn't the right shop for me both with date flexibility and pay. Ideally I would like if I could grab one every few months if there was a location near where I already planned to be for other shops.
As for the food being mediocre, the first shop I did the entire restaurant was filthy, the food had clearly been sitting out for a while and I was left with a pool of grease at the bottom of my salad. The second restaurant also had cleanliness issues and the food was adequate except for chips being over-salted to the point of not being edible. My reports were approved without issue even with all the negative remarks.
I wish I could only spend $7. Since I am not a big taco fan; with required items and city prices I can't get out of there for under $11 and that's without a drink. So my profit comes out to a lot less, especially if the food I am being reimbursed for is of such poor quality that I won't eat most of it.
I guess I just remember the food as tasting better in the past. I may also be spoiled by a great local burrito chain and I tried a new burrito place in my area last week and their shrimp & steak burrito may have been one of the best burritos I have ever had.
