So, I've been seeing Applebee's commercials on TV lately. I only really notice the commercials for the products that I represent as a merchandiser so it's possible that I didn't really notice them before. I wonder if they are changing the type of marketing program that they are using. As it is, I think their mystery shopping program is very inexpensive, however as a ratio to how many customer's cars I see parked there on any given day, I would think they might choose one over another. I'll be watching and keeping my fingers crossed. I think they still need training as the timing is off, I still have to beg for my receipt, the aren't identifying me or my bags and the food has often been sitting there for a while.

Some things are getting better, such as following more of the script during the phone call and introducing themselves at the car...but you're right, timing is still off. I have had to wait 5 minutes or more for my food on several occasions and no one is offering me a beverage while I wait.

When I did my, they were super busy and I hate to wait about 10 minutes. I was not offered a drink but she did apologized about the wait.

I hope they continue doing theses shops.

I have not seen any posted but I haven't checked the web site either. I guess when they are offerd again I will get a email

I had their quesadilla burger a long time ago and it was good.

When I saw that the Fistea Lime Chicken had cheese it I was also happy. I got everything put on the side through.

I ended up going to Chipotle instead of Applebee's. spicy1, thank you for getting to the bottom of the nasty American Standard Burger. I wonder if I could get it with no pickles.

Irene, the two locations I have done Curb Side Pick Up, I have had to go into the restaurant.

I can't o them, they're just too far, the locations are in oddball places. The one I did I drove 20 miles one way so not worth it...but oh, those chicken won tons.....they could improve on the salad dressing, ruined my salad. Service was fine except for the wait.....

In my area, they had them posted for April. I checked their (MSC) website to see which ones were left, and, of course, I don't qualify due to rotation. Check the website; you never know.

I’m doing Applebee’s car pick up shop today. Margarita would be nice to take home but I don’t think I can order it. Yup just checked, dine in only, obviously

I just checked the MSC web Site but I didn't see any, but I did not o through all the states

I did the two for 22 and tried the Fiesta Lime Chicken that was recommended on this thread. I also ordered steak. The steak was great but the chicken was overcooked and dry. When I arrived, the employee told me the steak was ready on time but the chicken would take a few minutes longer. I guess the extra cooking time for the chicken was the problem. I will stick to the BBQ ribs next time.

I went today on my own dime. I did a 2 for 20 and a 2 appetizer sampler. I had a $10 off $30 coupon for an online order. With the tip, I was under $25.

Funny thing is...I applied to do this shop last week and I wasn't quick enough....

But it worked out even better. I was travelling that way today (farther out) to get my oil changed (shop). Now I can grab dinner on my way home. Win Win. I am going with the riblet basket and still trying to decide on the second entrée - 2 for $20.

I've never seen a beer restaurant. Must not have them in my area.

I keep applying but they fill up quickly. So many shops and they are all scheduled by the time I get to the job board. Is there some secret to getting one assigned?

All of the in-town ones are GONE in my area, AGAIN!!!! They are ABSOLUTELY giving them out like candy to someone as some sort of favor. It must be a scheduler who has this person doing other shops for other companies and giving them straight to that shopper. This company has NO OTHER SHOPS in my area. I will ONLY do the STRAGGLERS for extra buckaroonies this time.

As soon as I got the email I went to the job board and was able to self assign the location in my area of Ventura County Ca. I just increased my search radius to 200 miles and there are several more available to me to self assign. I assume I am able to self assign because I have done enough successful shops for this company over the years. So I would advise you to check the company’s site often and apply for shops even if they may not be your favorite or close to you. If you need to travel try and set up a route with other shops to make it worthwhile. This MSC has some good clients and the fee/reimbursement is fair.
