New Applebee's Shops

Did my other applebee's shop that required a specific alcoholic beverage and additional items were optional. Treated my son to the beer, I ordered a flavored lemonade and their blue ribbon brownie dessert to share. Out of pocket cost was less than $5 after shop fee of $15. Went during Happy Hour so cost of beer was much lower.

Mine was a bust. It was supposed to be a carside order but when I called I was told that they only do carside service for online orders, so I had to pick up my order at the bar. The employee didn't ask for my name or phone number. Parking lot was littered with empty bottles of alcohol and random bags of trash. I waited 11 minutes in the bar for my food. I leave and when I get home I discover that they didn't give me fries with my chicken tenders. They did not get a good rating from me.
I love the Applebee's shop and I could get addicted to the wonton chicken tacos! I'd like to have a dine in as the one closest to me needs an inside critique. I usually go there in the evening when it's dark and the lighting is low. Last time I went to that one it was daylight. The table was sticky, the menu and the little sugar holder were both in need of a wipe down!
Just be absolutely sure you read your instructions. From what I've read on this thread there are Applebee's shops with different instructions.
I'm doing my first to-go Thursday, I love taco's, will look at their menu and decide what I want. Not my fav, but a few decent meals to make it worthwhile. They've closed many in L.A., I have to travel for this, made plans to be in the area anyway.....

OMG the chicken won ton tacos, yuhhhmmmyyyy! If you order them to go, make sure you have them put the sauce on the side so they don't get soggy before you get home.
I can hardly wait...5 days, I have to go from 2 to 5...looking forward.....

The 3-cheese chicken pasta was really good. I ordered it without the bruschetta on top, Portion size was huge.
I agree DareWright, I liked the cavatappi and also skipped the bruschetta topping, got a side of steamed broccoli to mix in instead.
Hopefully this company will also do in dine shops. Kinda like BWW did with the their shops. If they do, hopefully it can be self. Sometimes I like to take the wife and sometimes I like to be by my self.
I scheduled it for March 13. I don't like to do food shops too close together.

Honny they must have two in your area or I miread you post.

Jasflalmt. I did both the dine in and take out shops for BWW

Hopefuly they will have this shop available again
Honny lives and works in an area with a large population and there are probably several locations near her. I know where I live there are 6 locations within a 20 mile radius.
Yep, there are two locations within 7 miles from home. The one in November and the one next week are 7 miles away. The one last month is walking distance.

I have an Applebee's five minutes from home. I'd love to do a carry-out shop for them, once I get signed up with whoever does them now. I used to get notifications all the time for them, then I guess the MSC who had them lost them. I like the Arooga's take-out shops and used to like the BWW ones, too. Not as much work as the dine-in shops, and since you don't have to order a beverage or tip at the full amount, they're a pretty good deal, too.

I have two MSCs to sign up with this week, and I think both do a lot of restaurant shops. My goal is to never have to pay full price again for a meal out--LOL!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
The MSC is not in the top 15 discussed MSCs in the forum, but they have been discussed plenty of times. The first letter of the MSCs name is in the first half of the alphabet.
i like their steaks, WHEN they COOK THEM TO ORDER. this horrid one I have manana, they NEVER EVER come out to the car. then i go to the bar, and THAT IDIOT leaves and i stand 15 min waiting for my order, which, apparently, hasn't even been cooked before i get there.. AND, I have to TIP the SOB!
they're slowing down.. and, i hated that they put the straw in my beverage. I don't know who handled it, if they washed their hands, if they're having a cold or flu come on. So, HERE at least, they don't do it anymore. The gal today spoke in a normal tone and didn't rush, so I finally heard their new line of, ". . featuring online ordering ...."

wanted to add that if i don't understand them, I do star69, re call and use my cell to record the call just in case on the 2nd call i don't understand them...

My wife took me to Applebee's today for a surprise dine in lunch and it was very good. This was a non mystery shop
I'm doing my first tomorrow at 2:00 for pick-up. How far ahead do you call in your order?

Live consciously....
If your shop starts at 2 PM, must wait to make your call at 2 PM. The meals are supposed to ready within 15 minutes from call in time but things can happen.
DURING MY CALL TODAY, II NOTICED THEIR OPENING REMARK HAS CHANGED. ?? THE CHIX WONTON TACOS HAVE A LOT OF FLAVOR AND THEY'RE NOT AS SMALL AS I THOUGHT THEY'D BE. PRETTY GOOD. THE GRILL ROASTED?? VEGGIES ROCKED!1
Irene, how did your shop go? What did you get?

Just got back and the good news is: Chicken wonton tacos, the bomb...yum yum...Oriental chicken salad, excellent...so good. I now wish there was one in my town, way too far to do again, but really enjoyed.

Where is the one you shopped? When I lived there, I rarely ate at chain restaurants. I wasn't a mystery shopper then.

I believe it's fairly new, there's a cute area in Chatsworth near the Topanga mall...the end of San Fernando valley. They are all in odd towns, but next door is The Habit, Stone Fire Gill and a couple thai places. Freeway was unbearable at 2:40.....won't do it again. Calories in the fried won ton...OMG.....
