BARE and the mysterious shipping company

Just curious if anyone has had a relevant conversation with BARE about changing or simplifying the three scenarios?

I've done quite a few, but not the DIM weight shops. I can see where the one that requires you to purchase a mailer and then mail priority (scenario cool smiley would be a problem if you have to ask for it from the clerk. I'd never thought about that because all of our locations here have them on display. I think you'd need to ask the MSC how to handle that.
A strange amount of urgent shops coming up. I love the $20 dollar B scenario but wonder what is driving the amount of shops needed on a specific date.
I see they are bonusing there shops again. Just scenarios A and B.

I would be scared to do the C, $40 is lot of money to be putting out there. Even if it is for a good cause.

It would be a good time to send Easter baskets through the mail. Maybe I'll do two Bs, and send that $40 to do the C. smiling smiley
In my area, all they have had for awhile has been the C. I've yet to do a C and don't plan on it anytime soon.
I'm liking Bare more and more these days (well, for the shipping shops, anyway. The warranty ones, not so much.) I had a package that, on my postal scale that I've never had trouble with, weighed just over a pound (the required weight is minimum one pound.) When I looked at my receipt to scan it, I discovered they had the package weight at 15.9 ounces. I was worried and made a note of what happened. I just looked and they paid in full. And, I've sent numerous packages that were further than zones 1 or 2 and the amount went over the reimbursable limit, and they paid all of it! So far I've had a couple of mistakes (not having 30 min. between locations) and this weight issue, but I always get a 10 and the full pay. Thank you, Bare!

Maybe you mean something else, but all USPS Priority Mail boxes and envelopes are free, including the flat rate ones. I use them all the time (not for shops, have not done one yet). The post office will even mail boxes of them to you for free.

I think that Bare, as well as others, know a good thing when they have it. If you are getting *10*s that means you are doing a great job for them and it would be to their benefit to keep you. Without us they could not get the job done or stay in business. (Yes, thank you BARE)
I'm not sure sojo917 was referring to the Priority ones, but yes, Priority envelopes and boxes are free, or in otherwords, the cost is covered in the shipping amount. You can even order them in bundles and have them delivered to your house for "free" as well. But they cannot be used for any of these shops, as they are automatically sent Priority Mail, but with these shops you're supposed to be evaluating whether the clerk offered you Priority as an option and then insurance and tracking.

ALthough the PO provides free boxes to ship packages across the woeld, the cost is not free.

FLat RATE is not free service just the boxes. You are paying per weight and distance.

RATE-----> the amount of money charged per unit, e.g. per hour, per page, or per thousand, for a job, service, or commodity

I am not denying those boxes for free, but so are other boxes unless U purchase them from somewhere.

The PO have standard by which a item can be sent through the mail, "we are just providing you with the boxes." Like they say, "If it fits, its ship."

I think it goes without saying that postage is never free! LOL! We were just responding to the statement "Flat rate boxes/mailers aren't free", because the actual boxes and mailers are indeed free.
A tip I got from a friend is to get the free boxes and carefully turn them inside out so there's no printing on any surface. A little duct tape on the seam and you're ready to go.

After getting shafted on some fees from the naked shipping people I've backed off for awhile.

I wouldn't recommend that. That might work with some locations, but at mine, they check for that. They measure as these boxes have very specific measurements. Many of the boxes now have printing on the inside identifying what they are to be used for.

Even if it passes your area, if the one it arrives at notices the box, your recipient may not receive their package. If the correct amount was paid they may still get it. If it was sent for a lower cost than the box would normally ship for, your recipient will have to pay the difference to get their package.
I buy bubble envelopes in packages of 5 for $5.48 at Walmart. Every penny gets reimbursed for scenario A shops because the envelopes are big enough to ship anything that weighs 1-2 pounds.

Once I set up shops for scenario A, my grandkids help me pack envelopes. I find a housse for sale in the zip code area the post office is in and use that for my return address. It helps with keeping my identity safe. A big canvas bag will hold my four packages allowed for the day.

Free boxes are nice, but these are easier because I don't have to find them or store them. They don't take much room. Also, I don't have to tape anything up to send.

I ran out of real shipping projects long ago. I've shipped clothes to a friend in a different zone to take to Goodwill for me. I've shipped food to a friend who is ill and can't get out to get groceries. The postal carrier puts the packages on the dining room table for her. lol They are full of cans of soup and canned goodies. I can't go 120 miles each way very often to get food in for her, but this way she always has something. It's delivered in one day. Thinking of trying fresh apples or other fruit in a box that is padded well in order for her to have some produce when good produce comes in season.

Spring cleaning at home netted some old board books that are too young for my grandkids. I had three bonused shipping shops out of town yesterday so I mailed them to my church for the preschoolers there in three separate packages. My friends never know what they will get. It just shows up. Nieces and nephews love the mystery packages. lol

Left home yesterday morning at 4:45 am and was home by 1:15 pm after six gas shops, three post offices, a big box hardware and a ff burger/ice cream shop. All bonused (except the ff is a cheapy - I was just looking for cheap lunch for my son-in-law. I fix him lunch every day before he takes off for work on second shift. FF shops keep him in burgers and fries...and now ice cream. They aren' on my Weight Watchers plan for myself. lol) After gas I'll net $90 and five lottery tickets. Now wouldn't it be cool to actually win the lottery on a gas shop?

did anyone get their direct deposit from Bare? I would have thought it would show in my account Saturday morning.
I got an email Thursday that said it should be in my account in the next 2 business days. I figured Monday.
I got mine but no shipping shops last month so it was only for a zoo shop.

Bare posted some more shipping shops yesterday....for May and they were paying $12 for scenario A and B instead of $10. First raise I've gotten in a while.

Bare apparently needs assistance in booking the shipping, as well as other shops. An independent scheduler, VIP, is emailing "seeking participants". Interested persons are to input a referral code.
