The MSC form is confusing as hell though.
First time I've heard anyone complain about it. The delivery shop is particularly simple. And yes, the reimbursement is too low.

I don't think the form is confusing, but some of the questions at the end are unnecessarily redundant. And, based on several comments about the question on how many extra fries are received, they could clarify (number of scoops vs. approximate number of fries).

Edited to remove MSC name from reply.

Redundant questions don't bother me, especially when it's just giving a rating. I had a poor delivery experience today, turns out the driver had two orders and went out of his way to deliver the other one before getting to me (I watched him on the DoorDash app). The food showed up 11 minutes late, and it wasn't hot, and the shake wasn't frozen. So I had multiple chances to rate the delivery poorly and say that I would not use it again.

My little cheeseburger last week came to $15.45. The location I am doing tomorrow, I have to get a veggie to stay under.

Just a warning guys, you've got a bunch of violations in the last round of posts here. You can't post the MSC in this topic as the client is already listed. You may want to go back and edit your posts.

Anyone use the app for their shop write up? I was advised by the MSC not to use it, but others say it is much easier than the Internet site form.
First, you need to remove the name of the company from your post. Second, the app is very old, it doesn't even show guidelines correctly anymore. I would not use it for anything other than viewing available and assigned shops.

Uhh, yeah.

Folks, drop the MSC name immediately. You're gonna get yourselves in trouble.

And I bet he did not have a hot bag with him when they brought it to your door.. I used to worked for an couple of third part delivery services and I always had a hot bag inside the restaurant. They would thank me for doing that..

I also had the food in my hot bag inside my car.. (It also had a side pocket for 4 drinks/shakes). Sadly I have seen may DD drivers (and other third party drivers) come into the restaurant with no hot bag..

Probably not. Ironically, I was across the street from FG picking up food at Chipotle while the driver was there, would have been nice if I could just go in and pick it up. Apparently the drivers are allowed to do more than one delivery, but it just seems wrong to have the first stop be out of their way since I was following him on a map. I eventually called and asked why he was going the wrong way and he told me that he had another delivery first.

Vanilla ones are OK, but every time I get a flavored one, like salted caramel or chocolate, there's not enough flavor.
I get chocolate, salted caramel, Reese's peanut butter cups (a new addition and delicious in the shake), Oreos (both the creme and pieces) and sometimes peanut butter if I remember. It's excellent, and you can eat it with a spoon. Also, delicious if you freeze it and eat it later, as others suggested.

And of course whipped cream on top!

Ooh...Reese's peanut butter cups sounds like a tasty new option! I haven't done a shake shop, or even a general Five Guys shop, for quite some time, so it's interesting to see that they added new flavors. Hopefully it is available nationwide.

On the shake shops I completed in the past, I would usually get Oreo cookies and cream, peanut butter, and salted caramel. Like many of you, I would freeze my shake. I prefer eating it with a spoon like ice cream! smiling smiley

My local one offered a bacon flavor. I didn't try it.

Just be cool folks.
There's one in NJ, the closest one to me, that has consistently been $14.96 for a Little Cheeseburger, fries and drink including tax. Others in my area are well over reimbursement. Go figure. Must be the cost of the rent differs, or just greedy managers.

I've got one this week and since it's my local place, I'm not getting as much of a fee. So it's gonna be whatever I can order and come in under or at reimbursement. No burger for me.

Why aren't you getting much of a fee for a local FG, other than you taking the shop too early? Would someone have taken it for $9 if you hadn't? I get $25 for my local FG.
I got $25 for it last time, but hardly ever get that much for that location. It's like 2 miles from me. They offered $20, I asked for $22 and got it--and I'm fine with that. It's more than what I get offered through Samantha, and it was on the board for $15 without MAO.

NYC. A few weeks ago the same shop was $15.45. I suspect they are trying for $20. I've given up doing them without bonuses.

Oh, OK. when you said it was for this week, I mistakenly assumed that you were doing it for $9.

I have my home address stored twice on the new site, with one using Ct and the other one Court in the street name. Oddly, when I pick one it chooses delivery from my usual location, but when I pick the other it chooses a FG that is slightly further away. Since the delivery shop was still available for that location (sadly only $5 still), I took the shop and hopefully DoorDash will agree to deliver to me. It's not all that far away. I'll be sure to include a generous tip since thre's plenty of money in the $15 fee. And this location (like my local FG) has prices that allow me to get a little burger and stay under $15, and the shake is under $6 with tax, too.

Got an in-restaurant shop for the same location on Sunday. Got a Samantha offer of $26 and then got a phone call offering $25 and wouldn't go higher. Decided to take it since they're so inconsistent in how quickly they respond to Sam requests (it had already been a couple of houses since I submitted the request).

Will use my last AMEX card with the $3/15 offer on them.

The scheduler called me this afternoon. Usually he calls on Friday afternoons. He offered me three shops for this weekend at the fee I wanted.

And it's not even a holiday weekend! I am unavailable to shop this week, so I told the female schedule not to call me.

My delivery shop for the "not as close" location ended up workout out OK, although it seemed like it took a while to find a driver, and then a while to get to me, over an hour in total. Obviously did not have a hot bag since the burger and fries were room temp when they arrived. And I either got the wrong shake or they messed it up at FG, since it was missing peanut butter, Reese's cups and whipped cream. Probably won't be able to do that one until they offer the shake shop again due to the $15 minimum order on their website, although a burger, fries and drink might be over $15 (but of course then I'm going out of pocket).

Unfortunately no, we can't do that directly either. We're forced to not tell...
Work your way down in the list of 15 most discussed MSCs in the list at the bottom of this page. You will find it. Some of the companies have gone out of business since the list has not been updated in about 5 years, but the relevant company is there, and still in business.

MisterBill,

You might know the answers to my questions.

I've done the delivery shops when they get to $10. Right now it is at $5. Do you know when it gets raised?

Also, to get to the minimum $15 order I've been able to get a regular burger and medium fries. Now this one has a shake. They say they'll reimburse up to $15 plus $6 for the shake. So can i still get my normal $15 order and get full reimbursement PLUS the shake reimbursement?

Do you understand what I mean?

Hi, I'm obviously not MisterBill, but I'll take a crack at these. From my experience, there's no set schedule as to when they raise the fees on the delivery shops. I've got one in my area still listed at $5 too. I would expect them to raise it soon though, since the Sept. delivery shops are already posted.

As for the reimbursement, yes, you can still get up to $15 reimbursed for the sandwich/fries/drink, plus another $6 for the shake. They ask for the totals separately, so if the shake happens to go over $6 but the combined total is under $21, you still will only get a max of $6 for the shake.
There are three delivery shops for a location that won't deliver to me. They have two delivery shops available, one for $5, one for $10 and another for $15. The one that delivers to me is at $5 still, I guess nobody does those for the other location. I might just have to go to the mall it's near and do a delivery shop.

I just got back from an international trip to find five to ten shops each for two 5 Guys locations and all of those shops are priced at $25 each. At first I thought that maybe it was just the price escalating but these shops have been persisting these past couple weeks. The locations are out of my way but still, why are these shops lasting week over week, why are there so many for only a couple locations, and why are they already priced well?
