New Applebee's Shops

I know they used have all you can eat boneless wings on Wednesday's. Do they still have it?

I think the all you can eat dine-in special was for riblets. But yes, they were out of the racks of ribs on two occasions in the past few months.

Pork ribs, y'all, at least the baby back full rack is pork. Don't know a thing about the riblets, but since that implies a smaller rib, I would think pork as well.
My shop is Thursday. I hope they don't make any more changes.

I recently had a very significant screw up at one of the carside shops I did a few weeks ago. They forgot about half the order. I didn't realize until I was taking the items out of the bag to photograph them. Then I realized they didn't give me any receipts (they made me pay on a portable kiosk device which didn't print anything.) I went back and asked for the missing items, but they only gave me a duplicate charge slip (again, didn't notice). The receipt that passed for the itemized receipt was attached to the original bag, which the manager accidentally threw away when she (helpfully) re-bagged the missing food items. Didn't notice this and had to go back AGAIN to ask for the itemized receipt. I told her I needed it to show that I didn't purchase any alcohol.

Oy. I explained EVERYTHING in my report and was positive they would reject my shop. I did make a big deal about how the manager and employees demonstrated great service recovery, and lo and behold the shop was accepted with no questions.
Yes they are!

Edited because I had the wrong MSC.

Yeah, I am not one of those who cares if it takes 60 days, as long as I get paid it's fine.
Honeybrown. Have you thought about what you are going to get?

So the guidelines have changed since I viewed them last week

What are the new guidelines? For the ones I did, I was able to just order a 2 For $20 meal.

Have they changed since you accepted the shop?

My guidelines state you must order an entree of your choice and then anything else you want up to the reimbursement.
It’s been that way for a while.

The three cheese chicken cavatappi is good. I have them take off the bruschetta topping and I get a side of broccoli to mix in instead.
JAS, it was my first time putting the reimbursed charges on my credit card. That's why I'm in a pickle about it. Actually, it's a different MSC, so I have to change my post.

Ah, I know of the other MSC and I think that was reimbursement only and dine-in, right? Someone took it here but I passed. I like the way this MSC operates much better.

Why don't you look around for a CC that has a 0% on purchases for 12-18 months promo? Then you can do more dining shops without having to worry if you don't get your cash in 30 days.

Oh, the Chicken Won Ton Tacos are pretty great for an appetizer. I like the "choose two" appetizer combo with those and the chicken quesadilla. With that, a full rack of ribs, and the tip I go a couple of bucks over but there's dinner I didn't have to cook and dishes I didn't have to do. smiling smiley
No, this was the Chik-Fil-A MSC. They aren't reimbursing our January shops until March due to an error on their part. The only reimbursement only shop I do is Fridays.

It's not the interest on the credit card, but paying it off as soon as I get paid from the MSC. I wanted to see how well that worked. So far, I like it!

The reports are easy once you get the hang of it. When I look up the menu items at applebee's website, I select the restaurant's location to see what they offer. Not all restaurants serve the same thing. I pay in cash most times. The guidelines suggested to change your name when ordering from the same location. For example, Sam on one visit and Samantha on another visit. When the shops first came out, the rotation was something like 21 days. Now, it was 60 days rotation since the MSC or client wanted everyone to get their share of shops. Big mistake since that left alot of shops unassigned. I have a circuit of 7 applebee's within a 50 mile radius. My kids and I have our favorites, the food is decent. After I paid with my debit card for a dinner shop, I did not realized that I didn't get an itemized receipt. It was dark. I got the debit payment receipt. I emailed scheduler to explain what had happen. I offered to load up the confirmation sticker (that was attached to my order bag) that had the items listed in place for the itemized receipt. Didn't hear back from the scheduler so I went ahead and uploaded the confirmation sticker in place of the itemized receipt with the debit payment receipt. The scheduler said that was okay. Got a 10 on the report. By the way, if you order multiple items like 1 appetizer and 2 entrees, there is only 3 slots for photos. First photo slot is for the top of bag view, and 2 photo slots for the food. I'd combine the appetizer with one of the entree for one photo slot and the second entree for the second photo slot.
catgranny's post advice works well for one of the MSCs that does them. Another MSC that does them has different guidelines and you can upload as many photos as you want. But, that MSC has a dine-in shop and it's reimbursement only. I like the MSC that does the take-out shops. And honny does a shop with this client for yet a different MSC that I not sure about...

isaiah4031a, sign up with companies in the first half of the alphabet and you will run across 2 MSCs that do shops for this client.
Thanks jasflalmt. I think I have sign up with most of them, but I will double check.

I have a question. I know we are suppose to take a picture of the food but are we are suppose to describe it.

Like the bonless wings very good but they had way to much sauce on it?

Thanks
Have you looked through the questions on the report? One of them asks for a description of each item. Rather than "very good" and "way too much," describe something specific. "The wings were hot and tender. They were served with a large portion of sauce that leaked out of the container before I got home."
isaiah4031a can't look through the questions on the report since he doesn't know which MSC it is. Isaiah, when you find the MSC, it will give you a sample in the guidelines of what you are supposed to write. It's a pretty easy report overall.
Sorry, I thought he had said previously that he was doing it later this week. Yes, just a picture and short description of each item. This MSC has been very easy to work with, and I don't think you have to be too scared of their report.
