New Applebee's Shops

I had a Texas Roadhouse burger last night that was phenomenal. It tasted like good steak. I guess we know what they do with the scrap cuts from the steaks.

When I went there this week, I got the appetizer ribs. SO GOOD! I ate the whole basket and the fries. The next time I go, I'll get the burger. Which one did you get?

Please don't eat the baskets.

But seriously. The burgers are big. We share a burger and everything else.

No Way I Would Share My Burger, Don't Even Go There! Oh, no, you didn't! I just eat around the outside, the middle is usually where the grease puddles as it sits waiting for someone to bring it to my car getting ever colder. 17 minutes is how long I waited at the last one.

I thought the directions stated to go inside after 5 minutes or is that a different shop?
Yes. He had come out to my car within 5 minutes of my arrival and said sorry about the wait and he would be back out with my food. He came back out in 5 more minutes and took my payment. Then came back out with my food.
They were super busy when I got to the restaurant. When she came out, she said sorry about the wait and she had the food in her hand

I have done the curbside and bar shop. Love them both. None are posted in my area yet. Hopefully soon.

I've done the curbside about 16 times. very easy - WHEN they do their job by bringing your order to you. I have another 5 scheduled soon too. fat bonuses too!
I shop two locations. Neither do curb side.

When you pull up to the TO GO car spot- are you supposed to call them and let them know you are there? OR are they just supposed to know you are there and come out automatically? Thanks
It depends on what they say on the phone call, in that all of mine have said they will keep a look out for me when I arrive. But I would ask. The guidelines do not say, so, I would ask.
spicy1 Funny. I get that a lot too. Especially the ones with heavy accents. I never get their names or understand what they were saying. Most of the time,, I had to ask "Is this........ ?" to make sure I got the right place.

Texas Roadhouse never pays a fee. The reimbursement is too low for 2 people. It is always out of pocket for me and my friend.
HA! No way am I eating 1,000 calories in one meal! That's not happening!!

Hey, how come they only have road kill scraps, and eat-the-bloody-slaughtered-flesh-of-the-dead and wash-it-down-with-a-toxic-ethol-alchoholic-beverage shops?... It's always the unkind invitation to eat the flesh of the dead and drink poision...Would it ever be anything non-toxic, or not filled with undercooked animal bacteria, and animal viruses from sick cows standing in their own dung heap? Don't they ever have anything for vegans or anything healthy?

Somebody mentioned Texas Road House, how about a hint on which Co. does them please?
@Researcher01 Why would anyone say that about Texas Roadhouse? Do you know what Road kill is?

Why would anyone want to go to a Steakhouse for "options" when the "enemy" is all around them?
I love animals. They taste really good. And I like my steaks on the medium rare side, cooking steak well-done is what's really evil (IMO). And I like beer and alcohol just fine, it kills the bacteria. To each their own, right?

And actually, they serve salad, vegetables, and bread there, LOL. You can get a salad and some veggie sides to go with your free bread, and you can order tea or juice to drink. Nowhere in the guidelines does it state you have to order meat or booze.

@Researcher01: LOL! I would love to test recipes involving grass-fed and other 'healthier' meats. (Some people do need more flesh protein than others. It has to do with how we are hard-wired. I am thrilled that we can discuss the variety of necessary and preferential options here instead of demanding one diet for all persons.)

So now I want to know: how good is the grass that grass-fed critters are eating?

why would someone go to a steakhouse and complain they do not have tofu? And their beef is not full of bacteria, thsts just an ignorant statement
I've only know one msc that does Applebees but the location is out of my way for the small fee.
Sounds like he needs more iron in his diet.

What did you end up getting? I still have my salad from Thursday. That will be dinner tonight. JAS was right about the salad dressing. I never have to have that again.

@ honeybrown

I got the boneless wings as the appetizer

I got the fiesta lime chicken which was really good. My wife got the plank chicken and she said that it was good but it was smaller by then what she gets in the restaurant.

I have never had the salads.

Their boneless wings are pretty good! The Cedar Plank Lemon Chicken was great. I was very happy with the portion size.
