FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

No "make an offer" for any of mine. I did just notice a delivery shop but not at the one that would deliver to me. Interestingly it says "Higher Reimbursement!!" but it's only $30. The delivery shops used to have a $33.75 reimbursement Pay is only $5.

BTW the Big Lots shops near me now have a $5 fee.

Right, but what if you can't even get in the building? There's a location near me that offers only delivery and curbside, no dine-in, no takeout. If you try the door, it's locked. What do you do then if you can't get inside to place your order for carry-out? Go online? Phone? The instructions don't seem to say.
Seems like you'll have to call the restaurant first and find out what's going on at that ocation. Then contact the MSC if they're not taking in-restaurant orders and you have an "order in the restaurant' shop.
Yeah I've come to realize that I'll have to do that. Just a schlock job by 5G and the MSC though, to not anticipate that this situation may come up.
I just noticed that the description of one of the shops at the FG in my area says "curbside pickup" in the description you see being requesting it.
Tasteless burgers, even the mushroom toppings are tasteless. I miss Panda Express, Texas Roadhouse, Applebees, and the expensive over $100 Coyle dinners at places I would not have gone on my own.
I went to TR once and my wife refused to go back. The rolls were good, although they forgot to bring them so we waited a while.

FG veggie sandwiches and grilled cheese are excellent. And their fries are amazing. I don't eat their burgers so I can't speak for those, although many people do seem to like them.

It's up to $10 today for me, with Make an Offer option. Going to try bidding my old standard amount, will report back.
Has anyone done a delivery shop where the order was never delivered? I asked for contactless delivery and the app showed the food was delivered and when I went to my front door nothing was there. I live in a single-family neighborhood so I doubt someone took it. I am wondering how to report the shop.
@carlsbadguy Wow, that stinks! I'm sorry this happened to you. Did you try contacting the delivery company and/or the restaurant/store to get it fixed? I think they usually try to redeliver or refund you, or fix some other way? You might have to include these steps taken by the companies in your report.

I'm not sure how exactly you would proceed. Before covid-19, part of the delivery shop was evaluating the delivery person, so I don't think we would have been able to request "contactless delivery" and have an approved shop. I'm not sure whether the requirements have changed now so that contactless delivery is accepted, since I haven't done any 5G shops since March.

I don't clearly remember, but there might be an option to select that "order never arrived"...? Or at least you might be able to report something "missing". I believe that was always an option to choose in the report, and then you could elaborate in the written section that the order never actually came.

I'm sorry this isn't much help. It's just been so long since I did a delivery 5G shop so I don't clearly remember everything that was in the report. Good luck, though! I hope it all works out (even though having your order go missing is never fun).

You probably should have contacted the delivery service and told them that you did not receive the food and gotten a refund. Then order again. No way of saying for sure but I think it's just as likely that they delivered to the wrong address than someone stealing it, unless you have that sort of problem in your area. They certainly should have rung your doorbell if doing contactless delivery.

Also, I would personally not do that sort of delivery for a shop unless it is called for in the instructions. You could always have them just leave it outside your door after you open it. In fact, that is probably the standard these days.

Two shops at the location I was doing for $25 are now up to $10, and 7 (yes, seven) others at that location are still $5 but none are "make an offer". Apparently someone forgot that this is the location they have always had problems scheduling. The two $10 shops both say that they are dine in.

Meanwhile, the location closest to me has none listed. Also, I walked past that one today and there was no one eating inside, although indoor seating were available.

The "make an offer" shops all denied what I previously got for the same locations. I tried five different locations, all denied. The "make an offer" are all at $10 now.

I did contact the delivery company and they refunded my money and offered to resend the order but by then it was too late as I had an appointment. I sent a message to the help desk as to how to proceed but so far no answer.
Can't you just reschedule the shop? Or did you start submitting it already when you placed the order?

In my area, the fountain drinks are not available. I was charged for a bottled water and given a bottle of soda. I reported on all of this, so let's see what the editors come back with...

I was wondering whether those Freestyle fountains would be on...

I did one yesterday and was surprised to see the fountain machine was operational. It was one of the new style ones, but you do have to press the buttons. The place I did was so spotless clean. I was the only one there. They must be hurting. Their prices are getting outrageous. I had a small cheeseburger and it was over reimbursement by almost $1 with the fries and drink. It's good, but not that good that I would go out of my way to pay that on my own. I toss most of the fries anyway.

My favorite scheduler called me today for weekend shops at 5Guys. The initial bonus was low, but I negotiated to pre-Covid rates. He let me know that the report has changed. The ordering requirements remain the same.

Make an Offer at my previous amount was denied, and I sent an email to Help Desk and didn't get a response.
Next time I'll try contacting my previous scheduler, hopefully they are still around!
I did my first post-COVID shop today. I made an offer for a dollar over the posted rate and got it.

The restaurant had a steady stream of carry out customers, but we were the only ones eating in. Tables pushed far apart, and some taped off to maintain social distance. No self-service sodas or condiment station. Upon request they gave us a brown paper bag of peanuts.

The MSC needs to tweak the crew member description on the reporting form. For a male, they ask if he had a mustache or beard. They need to add an option for 'the dude had a mask on and I had no idea what his facial hair looked like".

Although there are many locations I've shopped on the board I've yet to get a phone call. Has anyone gotten one?

And MAO
Which in my high-population area is like tits on a bull, useless. I just got turned down for another $26 request on a $25 shop.

I guess they just apply the MAO button to all shops without regard to region and accept or deny based on region. I say so because I traveled to a much more rural state recently and got all my MAOs approved while there (other clients too besides 5G). Here at home, I get shot down every time.

Spoke too soon, got a MAO approved for tomorrow at a FG about 8 miles away. Will wonders never cease.

Good for you. I didn't bother calling to try to get the $30 again, and I observe Passover (which starts tomorrow night) so I won't be available to do this (or any) location for another week+. So they have two dinner shops still sitting unfilled (last week's and this week's) for a location that always seems to be one of the most difficult for them to fill.

I did realize that I should have taken it for $25 that first day since Boston Market was near that location, and they had $5 individual meals that day, but by the time I remembered, it was too late to go.

My veggie sandwich, no cheese, bacon or burger, was $12.16. When I shopped this location last month, it was $10.99.

Well, it finally happened: Today I had a veggie (no cheese) plus small fries and drink exceed reimbursement.

Although I'm not religious enough to stop shopping for all of Passover, I don't eat bread, so all my shops today were a veggie bowl. If anyone thinks such an order outs you as a shopper, take note that it did not come with an upsell, a visible manager, or a clean dining room.

Sorry! What I meant to say was: “ MisterBill, the MSC FAQ make clear you just have to start the shop within the listed time period.

“BEGIN shop within the shop times listed on the CPI.

Clients determine time frames for an assignment, enabling their various stores to compare mystery shop results obtained within the same time frame. If a shop begins outside the specified times, this will usually result in an invalid shop (and non-payment).”

So you should be fine. Given how hard it is to predict an end time, it’s extremely rare to see mystery shops that try mandate when a shop is actually finished.

Already getting Samantha and phone calls for this weekend so might be a good idea to stay aloof for a few days.

Shops for the weekend to come seem to be heavily weighted toward milkshake-required shops. Not good for this roly-poly mid-lifer but of course I'll probably take one on. Salted caramel mmmmmm. As Def Leppard said, "Pour Some Sugar on Me"

Salted caramel with Oreo creme and pieces smiling smiley.
This is the first time I've seen a delivery shop in my area. Here are the fees as listed:

Shop Fee: $8.00
Reimbursement for food, up to: $15.00
Delivery, Service Fee, + Tip Reimbursement, up to: $15.00

Usually it's only $12 for reimbursement. Is it usually more for delivery?

Is the $15 for the fees Door Dash or whatever delivery service they use charges along with tip?

Thanks.
