FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

The last two 5 guys I did cost me $13.46 and I do not want ta shop to cost me money even though it pays a fee. I think I could have bought a veggie sandwich and stayed under the reimbursement. I am trying to lose weight and ordered the burger in a bowl. Has anyone ever ordered the veggies in a bowl??

I've done it before. It's like a grilled vegetable salad. Not bad with a little bit of barbecue sauce or a little bit of malt vinegar on it.

I work for cash so my orders are under $12.75. That means I order a grilled cheese or a veggie sandwich/bowl.

I order a cheeseburger every quarter for enjoyment. When I do, I switch the reimbursement and fee in my spreadsheet.

It feels very odd ordering a veggie sandwich at a burger joint. I even had one cashier question it. I will do a bowl so I have one less section to fill out on the report.

veggie bowl at five guys is f’n hilarious. go to the most carnivorous place in civilization and order a veggie bowl. it’s the clients fault though for not reimbursing what they should.

Based on the size of the patty in my last order, not true...
I wonder how much lettuce you could get them to put in the bowl to make it a true salad?

My view is that the bonus has to cover the amount they don't reimburse. That having been said, I rarely do one for base fee anymore. Apparently, no one else in my area will do one for the base fee either since they almost always get either an MAO or Samantha even after the first raise from $9 to $12. There is one location at the South Jersey Shore that routinely goes for $30. When I am in that area, I definitely accept the offer!

I think $12.75 is their fixed cost. Anything over that is pure profit.

I've done one shop at base fee in the last three or four years, and that was only because they had de-activated me during the pandemic for not doing shops (um, and where was I supposed to do them?). Anyway, once they re-instated me, I took one at base fee, and that's the last time I'll do that!

The first time I ordered a veggie sandwich I think it outed me as a shopper. After I did that shop, Five Guys stopped showing up as available shops in my area.

I don't think anyone else is taking them because I would take them at $30 from being called.
in AC?

Yeah, the way I look at it, if the shop is properly bonused, I'm not going to sweat it if the bill comes in a buck or two over reimbursement. I mean, what's a better investment of time, a $10 Sonic shop that offers full reimbursement or a $25 Five Guys shop that goes $1.50 over reimbursement?
I checked with schedulers in the past. They notified me that I MUST order burger or hot dog, etc. with bun only.

I only do the shops with a bonus, minimum $18 fee and now for MAO asking over $20. I just put in an MAO for a dinner shop Monday for $30 as the location is a little further from me. I will see if it comes thru.

I always get a burger in a bowl. It asks on the form what you got and I mark in a bowl. I have never had a problem.

Not true; check the guidelines. The bun is optional as well.

I get a burger in a bowl. I have never had them say anything.

I would imagine getting a burgerless burger would out you as a shopper though. That can't be a typical order.
I will ask that question direct to them I have one shop after 4 PM today.

Why would it out you? I get it cause I don't eat a lot of carbs.
The highest I’ve gotten for a 5G shop is $50. I usually get between $25-$30 on top of the reimbursement. The key is to not accept a shop at a location for a lower fee because subsequent MAO will be declined if you try and go higher.
If I'm not outed getting a veggie bowl with no cheese, you aren't outed getting a burger bowl!

I chuckled at this I live on the seacoast where there are a lot of good seafood restaurants. I go to the Texas Roadhouse and order salmon.

She should look at the report. It asks what you got and bowl is an option.

Any entree is valid for the purposes of these shops.

I get a burger without the bun. I was referring to getting no burger and just lettuce and other vegetables.
Gene, It was irresponsible of the scheduler to advise you of her interpretation of the guidelines. The MSC’s written guidelines always prevail over verbal communication from a scheduler.
