FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

@Sherri Did you mean to link your MSC to the client publicly? Your username identified the MSC.
Good catch BusyBee .. although the identity of 5G's MSC is probably the worst kept secret in mysery shopping lol, you are right, to a trained eye Sherri's screen name identifies the MSC.

I don’t get how it would be a problem when MSCs reveal their clients on the Job Board section of this forum. The rule applies to the shoppers, not the MSC reps.

You guys are on the ball. Technically, I didn't specify the name of the MSC. An assumption is being made that I work there due to my screen name and various levels of communications I've had with some shoppers on the board. I think @NinS and @KokoBWare are both correct thoughsmiling smiley

It could also be my friend
I did not post to point out someone violated a rule. I posted in case Sherri did not realize her post would link the MSC to the client here so she could edit her post if she wished.

Something weird is going on with the overseas schedulers. Every time I call to get bonused work, they put me on hold and never come back.

I actually did one today here in California under the reimbursement. $16 fee offered by you know who via email. I got a grilled cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms and pickles, little fries and bottled water for $12.09 including tax. Bottled water allowed since they do not have fountain drinks due to Covid. I think the water for $2.29 is what kept me under the reimbursed amount. I asked for peanuts since they are not available for self serve and got a generous amount of them.

Edited to add that I just got an email from QC asking if fountain drinks were available and what I observed. This should be a question on the report itself. So to save a step, be sure to mention if fountain drinks were available and what you observed, somewhere in the narrative.

I did my first 5G shop this week since lockdown began last year. Almost $17 ($16.58 from what I recall) for a little cheeseburger, little fries, and the smallest drink!

It’s not true that they are closing all locations.

Got penalized today for taking a FG shop for $23 last time instead of my usual $25. They called me and I asked for $25 and the guy said "you did it for $23 last time". Yeah, well that was when I was apparently on the do-not-call list so I had to take the Samantha offer. Anyway, I agreed to $23 because I was going to be nearby anyway and the shop came with a shake (which will cost me sales tax at this location since their price is $4.99). Next time I'm sure it will be even more difficult to get $25 but maybe I'll be in a situation where I didn't REALLY want the shop and are willing to take a chance of being rejected.

To be honest, I couldn't believe that the lunch shop with a shake was still available. At the location near me that is also very hard to schedule, someone must have taken the lunch shop for regular price since it wasn't even showing as available when I checked last week.

Is it worth it to MAO for more than $25? Anyone ever have one accepted?
Not unless you've received it previously.

Yeah $25 is the highest MAO I've ever had accepted.

In other "news," I gave a rare "exceptional act of service" citation today to the shift leader. The place was slammed busy and some dictionary-definition "Karen" started chewing out the shift leader over a mishandled order that I took to be several days previous. Karen started her harangue by saying "I don't usually complain. I'm not THAT person." (Translation: You ARE "that" person.)

The shift leader stayed very cool and polite throughout this chew-out. Last thing you need when you are slam busy is Karen yelling at you for something that you might not have even been there for. I don't usually give "exceptional service" citations but I gave one this time.

Yet, they currently have $25 shops with MAO which they aren't going to accept.

Sure. I'm sure there are lots of criteria involved to accept high offers...

In fact, the majority of my locations these days are >$30 including one that's >$50.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!

But have you gotten that amount previously?
I’ve gotten MAO for first time locations that far exceeded $25. A lot of it depends on distance. Since it lets you rebid why not try?
Good news, my local restaurant's dine-in shops have shown up again after being gone for a few weeks even though I was no longer out of rotation. Bad news, this month's delivery shop disappeared, not sure if someone finally took it or what. I was going to take the delivery, but was concerned that it might make the in-person shops disappear again, and I get a much higher fee for those. Anyone else see this with their available shops?

I had problems with the rebidding process once before. Not with Five Guys, but with one of their other fast food clients. I went in and used MAO. I assume it was rejected automatically by the system. I was then unable to even use "Accept The Assignment" on that posting. They also had one other posting for the same location, and was unable to "Accept The Assignment" on that one either. It locked me out of that location entirely (on multiple postings).

I just don't want to get locked out again. Not sure why it happened, or how to prevent it from happening again.

Just looked back in time. I shopped the $25MAO previously for less. It is a more rural area, most people use it as a rest-stop/gas break then onto their final destination.

That's weird. I have a much higher success rate on MAO offers for the "other" client than I do for 5G.

I made an offer of $28. It was posted for $25. My offer was declined. The directions stated that a rebid had to be $3 less than the original offer. Gotta laugh.
I have a question about the shop. I am doing a Five Guys curb side pick up for the first time. I read the guidelines and there is no mention of taking pics. While a receipt is always necessary, will this shop require pics? I don't see any space to upload pics in the sample form.
@Mum I only did one curbside shop because stores around me stopped offering curbside several months ago. From what I remember, I did not have to take any photos (but remember this was a while ago, so I'm not certain the requirements have not changed). From what I know, I think the only type of shop that requires photos of food (and not just receipt) are the delivery shops. Hope that helps.
Just the receipt is required.

The only picture you need is the receipt. The only FG shop that requires a picture of the food is the delivery shop.
Take note the Coke Freestyle promotion is back. Three pours (done via scanning the bar code on the machine) yields a $3 Amazon card. Don't spend it all at once, as my dad used to say!
Pictures are not required of anything for a curbside shop. You have to submit a receipt. The receipt is sent to me by email. Keep track of the time you ordered. I use the app. Keep track of when you arrive, and when you get the food.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I was assigned a curbside at a location that doesn't offer curbside. Guidelines said if it wasn't an option to submit it as a closed location. For the receipt I uploaded a screen shot of the website that said "Curbside not available." Does anyone know if the pay will be 1/2 the fee or $3.00?

$3 and it sucks since they should just let you do the shop as a walk-in in that case.
