FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

I got a call yesterday to do a call-in shop for this evening, with the amount I usually get offered right upfront. No haggling, and this location is less than 10 minutes away. Happy dance.

I've never done a call-in and pick up; anything to make special note of? Do you visit the restroom before or after you get your order (I'll have someone with me, so he can hold it while I go)? They say to visit first, but I can't see that it makes a difference.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Yeah the call-in shops are super easy. I believe they ask you to get there a couple of minutes early so you can check the restroom before going to the counter. I don't think there's anything special other than noting if they put the fries in the bag after you get there. Also, I believe you have to describe the person that hands you the bag instead of the cashier.
Does anyone know how to find the certification test on the website? I can't seem to trigger it.
You will trigger it when you apply for a shop.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I've only had one shop that didn't have the usual bounty of fries.

I do the same stores over and over. Is there a limit on how often you can do them?
Did a shop today and got two full scoops of fries for a regular order, way more than 9 extra.

Also, PEANUT SELF SERVE WAS BACK!

I don't even see them on my job board. I guess I'll have to call in and ask for some help with what I'm missing.
So I took my local FG delivery shop, only to find that they've raised their prices. Sadly, the MSC has not raised the reimbursement for delivery shops, so now I'm going to go over with a little burger, little fries and water.
Samantha keeps sending me offers for phone or online shops. I'm holding out for dine-in.
I shopped one last month when they got bonused. I’m careful about dining in, anywhere. I went after the lunch rush. The dining room wasn’t full and tables were spaced. The county requires masks. I ordered a little cheeseburger, with grilled veggies on the side, little fries and a regular drink. Went .80 over reimbursement As usual, my plan was to take a bite of the burger, then take the rest home for my husband. I always concoct something yummy with the veggies. BUT, the order was prepared with the grilled veggies on the burger, not on the side as ordered. I advised the crew member. She offered to correct my order and didn’t take the incorrect order back. So, I went home with two orders. Score!
I had a shop assigned for today and another for tomorrow. I did the report for tomorrow's shop today. When I realized my error, I did today's shop. Today's shop was invalidated. I called the scheduler who assigned tomorrow's shop and told her what happened. She said she will ask her manager and call me back.

Fingers crossed as these shops were both highly bonused.

One would think that the dates would have been flagged in the validation process. You would have had the opportunity to self correct. They don’t have a reputation for that though. Hope your shops get saved!

I prefer online shops. Much less work and I don't have to dine in.

The Help Desk came through and approved my one shop and opened the remaining shop. Unfortunately, I saw the email after the cut off. I had to cancel it.

Yes, they have a rule about not taking any food back a customer has touched, even just to throw in the trash. I think a food safety issue. So if they forget to put tomatoes on your burger, they wont take the old burger from you and add them--they will make you a whole new burger from scratch.
I did a delivery shop yesterday. It says right in the guidelines that some locations require at least a $15 order for delivery. The website won't let you order unless the pre-tax amount is over $15 so with tax, it automatically exceeds the reimbursement. I had to order a bacon burger, regular fries and a bottle of Coke that came to $15.77 with an additional $1.34 tax.

Did not ask for contact-less delivery. Asked in the delivery instructions to ring the doorbell. Never even got a text that they had left it on the wet porch in the rain. Luckily, I heard the delivery driver leaving in his car.

Checked and there was no bacon on the bacon burger. Guidelines say I can contact either Five Guys or the delivery service. I called the location and the girl told me to come in and they would give me bacon, REALLY?, this was a delivery shop I told her.

She took my information and said I would get a free bacon burger next time I came in. I should just tell them that Natalie said I should get free bacon burger. It'll be interesting to see if they honor this.
I'm disappointed with Five Guys delivery rates. My local Five Guys doesn't do its own delivery. The cheapest delivery company has menu prices 20% over Five Guys + 15% fee + $4 delivery fee. And 10% sales tax.

Little Burger + little fries + bottled water = $19.50 after tax and I get reimbursed $15

Shake = $8 after tax and I get reimbursed $6

Fees + tip = $15, reimbursed $15

Plus fries don't travel well so they'll arrive soggy. Doesn't seem worth it.
So I was scrolling through the job board this evening and noticed that for the week of 11/11-11/14, the lunch shops are those that require shakes (reimbursement is $19.70). But the job fee is listed as $5 instead of the $9 that is normally. The dinner shops for that week, which do not require a shake, are still listed as $9 job fee and $14.20 reimbursement. I'm wondering if this is a glitch/error, or if they are changing the fee to "offset" the cost of the shake?
The milkshake shops here have a $15 fee and $19.70 reimbursement.

@HonnyBrown Are you looking at the dates in November, not this week? I know the shops for this week are up to $15 now (in my area), but I was looking at the shops later next month that are not bonused yet. I've never seen a non-bonused shop or starting fee of $15.

Wasn't the previous base rate $12? I see them now starting at $5.

Probably a posting error.
They start low, but increase the fee as the deadlines loomed. I've recently taken assignments at $25-30.
Right. Understood. I never take them at base. My point was that the base is less than half of what it used to be.
Yeah, in my area, it's only the lunch shops from 11/11-11/14. I'm assuming it was a posting error, since there are shops posted more recently that are back to the normal rate ($9 around here, but typically bumped to $12 by Tues. or Wed.).
$5 is usually the base fee for delivery shops in my area. I see non-delivery shops that require a milkshake. The fee is not $5, and the milkshake reimbursement is $5.50.
