FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

Nice! I did a quick search while I was talking to the scheduler and Google told me they closed at 10:00.

I took a nice bonus for a late night and it turns out they're closing at 8:00 so it was a win-win for me!

They're squeezing hard in my high-population area now. "Changed fee!" for this weekend is $12 with a make-an-offer button. Almost the whole slate still on the board.
Does anybody know the normal approval time for these shops? I just did my first one on Thursday and it's still in QC.

There was a discussion about this a page or so back. I had one that stayed in QC for a few days, but it ended up getting approved with no issues. Typically, it's a day, sometimes 2-3.
If a late-night shop fits into your schedule/lifestyle, they're a great way to get a nice bonus which becomes your new "normal fee" when negotiating when schedulers.
The last couple of times a scheduler has called I've tried to get them to match my highest fee. They've stuck to what they're offering and wouldn't go any higher.

They called me yesterday to offer $18, and I asked for my usual $25. They said they had to put in a request and I did not hear back within an hour. So I logged on and put in an offer for the same amount and got approved. No idea whether the original offer the scheduler put in wasn't accepted, or what. This week's lunch shop has the shake smiling smiley.
I got a call today from an overseas scheduler. I shopped a location last month for a $30 fee. The location failed miserably getting my order to me in 19 minutes and allowing customers without masks.

She offered me $18 at first to repeat the shop tomorrow. It was on the board at $12, When I declined she quickly offered to up the fee to the same $30 I got last month and seek approval for that amount.

When I checked my inbox, the $30 shop fee had been approved. So the is my "normal fee" I'm using for all shops at this location going forward.
Had a bad shop today. The cashier actually told me that they did not have the veggie sandwich, even after I pointed it out on the menu and having him ask someone else. Ended up getting a grilled cheese instead but then had to order a small fries to make sure I didn't go over. I guess it's possible that he misunderstood me with the mask, but still very odd.
@BusyBeeBuzzBuzzBuzz wrote:

Strange. Could they have run out of one of the ingredients for the veggie sandwich?
Given that they are the same ingredients as are available for a regular burger, I doubt it. I actually screwed up, should have asked for the grilled cheese with veggies. I did get some jalapeƱos on the side when I got my sandwich and put them in to give it some kick. Of course at that point I could have ordered the sandwich without cheese smiling smiley.
How long has it taken for expenses to be approved? I have a few in Pending for a few days now.
If they ran out of mushrooms or bell peppers, they can't technically serve a veggie sandwich (unless you order a custom sandwich and ask them for specific veggies).

Yeah, but he didn't say that they were out of it or say that they couldn't make it with a couple of ingredients. He acted like he had never heard of it.

Hopefully they don't look me up on video. Shop still in QC but that seems to be normal recently.

On a related topic, monthly delivery shops still at $10 with no MAO.
I had a beauty the other day: wrong toppings, no drink cup, half the staff including management wearing masks below nose, and no soap in the restroom! I did another uneventful shop the same day which was approved a day or two earlier, but but now both have been approved.

Was this by some wild happenstance in a New York City-area town with a two-word name, initials PM? Because this sounds eerily like a shop I did there a few months ago. The difference being the whole idiot staff had their noses exposed when I went.
Nope, hundreds of miles away, Koko. Sadly Covid stupidity is a national disease these days.
I love flakers! Shops right now are $12 on the board. The flake shop is $25 and it is on my way home.

Anyone know which delivery company specifically allows me to pick that Five Guys? I have one thats always open for delivery with a bonus, but its 6 miles away and another is 4 miles away. So all the delivery companies just use the 4 mile location. Anyways to change this?

That's too bad. Mine went up to $15 today. I hold out for $18-20.
Scheduler called with bonused shops for today and tomorrow. I happily accepted since they were higher than my normal fee!

I should try calling. There's an online order lunch shop at a location that I can be near on Sunday, but it's only showing $18 right now. It's not a location they usually call me for, but I've done it occasionally.

Update -- was available with MAO on Saturday morning, so I asked for $25. But it disappeared a little while after probably someone took it for $25 or a low enough amount that their offer was automatically accepted. Not a hue deal since I probably didn't need to eat more Five Guys.

Is the sales tax reimbursable on the delivery shops? The shopper fee is only $5 in my area for these, and you end up paying almost $2 in taxes. I know delivery fees are reimbursable but not clear if the tax is.

Edit: wow, prices on the food have gone up since I did a delivery shop just last month. Little fries 3.89 to 4.22, bottle of Coke 2.79 to 3.15.

The FG reimbursement is a flat figure that is listed separately from the fee on the job board. Sales tax reimbursement is not calculated separately. The figure listed is the maximum they'll reimburse you for, tax included.

$5 fee? No thankee.

OK, makes sense. The reimbursement is $15 for food plus $6 for shake, so as long as I can stay under that including tax I make my full $5 payment. Yeah, I know it's not great but I look at it as a free lunch first, plus a few extra bucks as a bonus. I would love to hold out for more but seems like plenty of others are happy to take the shops for that.... race to the bottom, I guess. I notice it happening on other platforms also - shops I did last month on Ipsos for $14 are $12 this month, etc.
