That's very sad. You should just let someone else take the shake shops and pick another one for that location.

I tend not to do more than taste the shake. I have a small travel thermos that I pour the rest of the shake into to bring home. This way I've fulfilled the requirement for the shop and somebody else in my house can enjoy it.
This was always my go to move back when Shake Shack was shopped too. I hated to waste it.
I bring home the leftover shake and put it in the freezer. It tastes great later and I can defrost as much or as little as I want.

Do you mean they insisted you get on, or insisted you could NOT get one?
I placed my grilled cheese order. She asked if I wanted fries, a drink and a milkshake. I said yes to the fries and drink. She asked what kind of milkshake. I said no milkshake. She asked what kind of milkshake. Over and over again.

I also bring the shakes home to freeze for later.

I taste the shake, then bring the rest of it home to my husband. He loves them! A couple of weeks ago, though, I was a 50-minute drive from home at my 5G shop at the end of a route. Apologies to my husband for drinking his shake! LOL. But I don't really care for their shakes. Vanilla ones are OK, but every time I get a flavored one, like salted caramel or chocolate, there's not enough flavor.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

I get chocolate, salted caramel, Reese's peanut butter cups (a new addition and delicious in the shake), Oreos (both the creme and pieces) and sometimes peanut butter if I remember. It's excellent, and you can eat it with a spoon. Also, delicious if you freeze it and eat it later, as others suggested.

And of course whipped cream on top!

Ooh...Reese's peanut butter cups sounds like a tasty new option! I haven't done a shake shop, or even a general Five Guys shop, for quite some time, so it's interesting to see that they added new flavors. Hopefully it is available nationwide.

On the shake shops I completed in the past, I would usually get Oreo cookies and cream, peanut butter, and salted caramel. Like many of you, I would freeze my shake. I prefer eating it with a spoon like ice cream! smiling smiley

FYI, this week's dinners seem to be shake shops, at least the ones I still see available on the site. Not bonused yet, unfortunately.

I have a $25 lunch shake shop to do this week. I had taken it for last Friday, which was the only available date showing when I took it the previous weekend. The when I went to reschedule on Friday, it had dates available for this entire week. Very odd shop.

Wow. Not that I expect it would get noticed, but did you include that in your report?

I most certainly did. I checked the CPI before going to the location. Maybe the cashier knew something I did not. I checked it again while I waited. No shake.

A scheduler called today with a shop fee of $15. I've been getting $18 from the schedulers before. Samantha is in the $20s. If I don't hear back from Samantha, I will MAO.

ETA: I got the higher Samantha offer. It's tomorrow and along the same freeway as two of my Looks.

I got a $26 Samantha offer for a location I've always gotten $25 for doing. Decided to try a MAO of $28 ad it got rejected, so I just responded to the Sam email and hopefully will get it. They'be actually got two really late night shops available at this location/ They're so old (how old are they?) that they still have the old reimbursement level.

Assuming I get the $26, hopefully it means that future requests for that price will be approved.

Update -- more than 12 hours later and no response from my Samantha request. Got a call from the scheduler offering the same $25 that is on the website, but she would not take me $26 request. I'll hold out for the $26. I don't understand why it takes them so long to process the requests. You'd think they'd want to assign them as soon as possible to be rid of them.

Update 2 -- finally got assigned the shop for $26.

Scheduler called to offer lunch shops for this weekend for $18. After checking the CPIs, I got a shop from the board for $25 for Monday.

I had taken a Samantha offer of $30 last month at a location which I'd always gotten $25 in the past. I decided to make an offer of $30 this time, and it got accepted. I had received a $27 Samantha offer, but decided to test whether the previous shop raised the bar on MAO approvals, and apparently it did. So basically, that location is now a $30 shop rather than $25.

Strange thing is, I got an online lunch shop, which I had not seen available previously. Someone must have taken it and bailed. Works for me!

Five Fellows in North Carolina is paying nine dollar fee $15.45 for food and $5.50 for shake

Yes, that is the standard fee and reimbursement. The fee will go up for the current week's shops if they are not taken, often as early as Wednesday (even though the shops do not start until Thursday). If still available o Monday, they will typically go up to $18.

This shop is for July 7. Why so far in the future?
Because they always post them a few weeks ahead, presumably so people can take them early for the base fee. It doesn't usually work, at least not in my area. If you are not seeing anything earlier than that in your area, then I guess that they get taken at the $9 price.

I did a delivery shop that provided me $15 for food. However, there is a minimum $15 purchase requirement on the Five Guys website for delivery orders. So I managed to get my order to $15.20 pre-tax. After tax it was $16.42.

Then there's a question on the report asking to explain why your order was either under $8 or over $16. Really, it just doesn't make sense to me.

I called the help line because I couldn't find a place on the Five Guys website to enter a tip amount. The support guy couldn't find one either. I tried to tip the delivery guy, but he couldn't break a $10. Said he didn't carry any money on him.

If I choose DoorDash or one of the other delivery companies website, is there a minimum order amount?
Yes. And sometimes the prices increase as well.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

Actually, there is not generally a minimum if you order using DoorDash or the other services, although the prices may be higher. It's just FG that enforces the minimum. Yet another reason why not increasing the reimbursement from $15 for delivery shops is stupid.

Last week, my regular scheduler called me to do two shops for $18. I asked for $20, but he said he couldn't. I accepted the $18 fee. After I did the report for the shop on Sunday, I looked at the job board. I accepted a $25 shop for Monday.

I say this every week, but lesson learned: I will check the job board more frequently!

Come on, you're a pro -- you know better than to accept an $18 fee! They must have caught you in a weak moment.

PS the correct answer when they say that they can't do your price is to tell them to call you back when they can smiling smiley.

I say follow the money and toss the shake.

No haggle! I can accept an $18 fee with no waiting, arguing or haggling.

I've been debating for a while if I would be better off doing two shops at $21 or wait and do one shop for $30 in a two week period.

I think there is a one week rotation isn't there?
