FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

I thought that it was a three-week rotation.

For those who did shops that still had the old reimbursement after they increased it to $15.45 in May, be sure to check your payment history. I did one and the Helpdesk email person assured me that it would be increased after I submitted it. It will not come as a surprise to hear that they did not, and I only got the old $14.20 rate.

And yes, I did just send them another email.

That's very sad. You should just let someone else take the shake shops and pick another one for that location.

I usually take my shakes home for someone to enjoy. I also order them after I eat my meal. It doesn't make sense to me to order a meal, a drink and a shake at the same time. The shake would be more of a dessert to me and the company has not given me any problems with submitting 2 receipts on my scan.
I've ordered a shake separately but it was when I forgot to order it with my meal. I just took a picture of both receipts together.

Great to hear that they haven't given you problems submitting two receipts, I've often wondered what would happen if I forgot to order it!

As for it not making sense to order a drink and a shake together, I thought that at first, but the cashiers really don't seem to care. The other day, I had a cashier ask me twice if I wanted a shake after I had already ordered my drink.

If you have an American Express card, the following offer just showed up for Five Guys:

Spend $15 or more, get $3 back. Up to 2 times (total of $6).

Just need to make sure that we spend $15, which won't be a problem for most.
Thanks for the tip.

I don't know how you get out spending less than $15 at this place. Love their burger, but not their prices. I refuse to eat there with my own $. If they ever stop shopping the place, I will never eat there again. I can get same meal at In N Out for $10. 5 guys is not 50% or even higher. I think I spent like $17 on a big patty cheeseburger combo the last time. So that's like 70% higher.

I normally buy a veggie sandwich instead of burger. I may need to get the big fries to get over $15.
I do Texas Roadhouse all the time! They had no rotation limitations for awhile, but just started them up again. But I was able to do them monthly until now!

I am not aware of any rotation for 5 guys. The only rule I know of is that you can't do 2 shops at the same location on the same day. And you can't do 2 shops, even at different locations, during the same meal period.

After I do a specific location, I do not see shops for that spot for three weeks. Are you saying that you can do the same location every week?

I did notice that a location I had done two weeks ago came back for me, and I suspect that it's because I had pushed the shop back a week from the original date. It was an odd shop, it was bonused but only starting several days after I took it.
MSC has called me to offer me jobs at 5 guys at the same location that I am already scheduled to do. I rechecked the guidelines, all I see is only one before 4 pm and one after 4 pm.

That's at different locations. That's bizarre that they would offer you the same location you're scheduled for. Is it for the same week, or do you take them weeks in advance at regular price? After you have a shop at one location, future shops disappear from the website for three weeks, at least for me.

It doesn't say that. It's probably against the rules to exactly quote the guideles. So I'll only do 2 sentences.

"Do not complete two shops within the same meal period on the same day for Five Guys or your shops will be invalid and you will not be paid or reimbursed. If you have multiple shops scheduled for the same day without a specific meal period (i.e., the shop is for the 11:15 am - 9:15 pm time range or "during business hours"winking smiley, only one Five Guys shop should be done before 4 pm and only one Five Guys shop after 4 pm. "

And I have shopped the same 5 Guys location twice in one week, both bonused, but different scenarios, and I don't do lunch shops because I don't leave my home until afternoon. One was dine in, the other was order and pick up, 2 days apart. I haven't shopped a 5guys for less than $20 in a couple years, and I havent done less than $25 this year. I don’t do base pay shops, with very few exceptions, and NONE of them are for this MSC. .

You'll want to edit your post as the client is already listed and you can't mention the MSC in the same thread. That's a violation of your ICA.

Thank you for catching that, I fixed it.

It doesn't have to say it because the website won't let you take two shops at the same location in the same day, never mind the same week! The guidelines are talking about shops at different locations.

I have no idea why or how they're offering to assign you two concurrent shops at the same location. Their system shouldn't even be showing that you are eligible for those other shops. I'm done with this discussion.

Thank you MisterBill! Just completed a shop and took advantage of this offer. Got a cheese dog, little fries, and regular drink for $15.18.
I am not going to use the schedulers anymore. I am getting offers frome Samantha that are higher than my pre-Covid fees.

A little cheeseburger is under reimbursement at the location I am shopping today. Time for my quarterly burger.

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
Week after week I say that I am not going to accept the shops offered by the schedulers. An hour after I schedule the shops, Samantha emails me with a better offer.

Today I kept my eye on the job board ($20 for the shops I wanted) and my email. The scheduler called and offered $18. I told him the job board was $20 and I asked for $25.

I got 3 shops for this weekend!

I stopped making offers on these shops, (not that the MAO shows up that often) because Samantha has been sending me offers at my going rate for locations in town, and the schedulers call and offer me my rate, and sometimes a little more for the shops out of own. When I was making offers the schedulers would call and offer the rate I MAO for after the MAOs were declined anyway. I'd ask for more and got the higher amount for awhile, but now my going rate is higher. So now I just wait on the call. LoL.

I don't know why others do not seem to like the online order and pick up in store shops. I have been getting those left and right. Used to be the late dinner shops were the least liked around here. (don't really like those myself...lol)

I got the Samantha email for one of the locations I am doing. The offer was $2 less than my fee.

There is a new 5 guys, Kinda close to us. The schedulers keep calling my son and asking him to do their shots there for $6 a piece peace. But they are listed on the board at $20 with make an offer. I offered, Just a tiny bit more than $20, and was declined for both of them.

I'm confused and giving away my services! I just take whatever is offered on the websites. How do I get schedulers to call me with more money! I didn't know that was possible. I'm out here doing restaurant shops for $8 and a free burger or sometimes just free fast food.

All advice is appreciated! I've only been MS for about a year and I do a lot and am always approved (except one possible costly mistake that is pending with a different MSC ????).

I just got $30 from a phone scheduler. She was offering $20, and I asked her what I had gotten for that location last time. She told me $30, so I said I'd do it for that price, but not less. She submitted it and it was approved.

I had taken a couple of $25 shops offered by phone a couple of days ago. I might have gotten $26 for one of them last time, but these were both online shops, so I wasn't going to argue (but wouldn't have done it for less than that).

I had not gotten a decent Samantha offer this week for these locations.

FG changed their app recently. I tried adding a new credit card when placing an order (to use the AMEX offer) and the app crashed. Fortunately, I was able to pay via Google Pay to use the card. You cannot just add a payment method on the app or website unless you do so while placing an order. Also, the app now notices when you are near the restaurant and notifies them that you have arrived (there is a button in the app that you're supposed to push when you get there). I got there a few minutes early for an online pickup shop today, so I went next door to Staples until my order was supposed to be ready. But the app had already notified the restaurant that I was there, so they were ready to put the fries in the bag as soon as I walked in the door and told them that I was there. I may have to turn off location permissions for the FG app to prevent this in the future.

The August delivery shops are posted and include a shake. I decided to take my local place for $5 since I never seem to catch it when they increase it to $10. This month it was still $5 a couple of weeks into the month.
Two of my three shops over the weekend were online. I noticed the new app. My cards transferred and so did my previous orders. One difference I noticed was the fact that going bunless is no longer an option. Also, some of my locations were janky. My Sunday location showed as being closed (before hours) and I could not look at the menu prices. I could only open that location from my history of online orders.

Yes, the cards were transferred over, but you can't add a new one. There's already a negative review in the Google Play store from someone else who has the same problem. Odd that you can no longer order the burger bunless.
