Red Quanta

I received their email today and on the surface, I wanted to sign up. The email I received said I had to sign up on their site, so I went to their site. It dropped so many times that I called my ISP. It wasn't my ISP, it was their website. I responded to their email and the scheduler got right back to me. She said I had to provide a gmail address. Since I have several for this use, I gave her one. The instructions were a little confusing, saying that I had to take either 12 or 24 assigned in groups of 4, maybe. Then I checked out the company on this forum and the news is not great. I'll take it step by step. Oh, and by the way, Indian Food Cuisine is not high on my list of favorite foods.

I'm not really understanding the connection, but it seems that these are the delivery shops at Merc; I remember seeing the name Red Quanta on something. There is another BIG name associated with them. I did one and then they changed the rules, and I have applied for another; we'll see what happens.

They were billed as having reports that would take 3-5 minutes, tops. Ha! You know that's a bunch of crap. Not that it was all that lengthy, but just say a half-hour, then we won't get so mad when it takes 45 minutes. It took so long because it asks for a million uploads, some of seemingly the same page, and you have to keep going back over your screenshots to find the right one. They should get easier with time, assuming they are legit and pay without problems.
Got a reach-out email today from RedQuanta. A search of the forum did not find anything on this Mumbai-based company. It does have a U.S. branch office in D.C. listed on its website. Anyone worked with them or have real-time information? I am curious.

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
They do not pay for at least 3 months. I haven't yet received reimbursement for shops I did in November 2017. Do not suggest working for this company.
Yep, now I'm getting some emails as well. I asked how they got my email and they refused to answer the question. I also brought up their "legitimacy", which they also would not respond to. Fishy.
I initially saw these Red Quanta jobs via Merc. Then I saw them from the current scheduler, Private Eyes Online. My theory: Red Quanta had problems; it may be their first U.S. job. So they hired Merc and then Private Eyes to run the job. By this time, I bet they've processed a lot of these shops. But I've seen mostly complaints here about late payments.. Maybe it's too early in their 45-day payment cycle? Probably not.

I suspect they got your email from Carrie Coyle, who now schedules for Private Eyes Scheduling. She schedules several companies. In addition to Red Quanta, she has also scheduled for Mercantile and other companies. She appears to be using shopper information she accesses for each company to offer shops at other companies that she schedules. Here's a discussion about her: [www.mysteryshopforum.com]
A new gmail account is required for this project. Once you review the shop guidelines, it will make sense.

Why is this such a hard question to answer? Are we all not mystery shoppers? I love to do shops but i dont want to tell them I will do it only to find out it's across town from me and that the requirements are not worth it.

I would beware and schedule these via a trusted Mercantile scheduler. Edited to add.... I just tried to contact the original who seemed to be legit mercantile scheduler. Got my message returned undeliverable. I emailed a Gmail address to register maybe last week in response to this mercantile scheduler regarding these take out shops. I do see them on their website. Had questions and never heard back from her which was unusual. Hmmmm..... received 2 emails yesterday and today from Carrie. Then I see I was added to a RedQuantas Gmail food order group by a person with a definite Indian name?? Removed myself from the group and unsubscribed. I never responded to Carrie. Wow. You All are good! Wonder if the legitimate Merc scheduler's name is being used inappropriately?

It looked to be a Google group for ordering food via Red Quantas. This person added me to it. Received a notification in my email along with a URL.
I'm not a fan of an MSC that has the grammar & punctuation of a 4-year old in their emails. I know its an Indian company, yet still. There is a thing that is called spell check.

For those currently working for Red Quanta, I am curious on how long it takes for them to pay you, as well as how responsive their schedulers are in the event if guidelines questions, etc.
Nah, maybe not. I'm also not an MSC trying to recruit people.

Stay on topic.

No matter where the company may be, their emails need to be professionally written. In India, it is very common that people speak and write in English, or anywhere else in the world. I work with numerous international companies and there is no such a thing as spelling or grammatical errors. This company is very suspicious. I recently had a very bad experience with their scheduler, Carrie Coyle, who has a history of scamming shoppers. I would stay away from it. No company demands gmail account from shoppers or any other specific account. New and unexperienced shoppers need to be aware.

Thanks again for posting. I got an email from Carrie Coyle today. I deleted it, but not before unsubscribing.
Private Eyes Online does not exist. It is a scam. The scheduer Carrie Coyle has a history of scamming shoppers. Do search in the forum; it is also in public records

So I have been keeping up with this thread and the one on "Carrie Coyle" for the following reasons

1) Carrie Coyle first contact me via email and asked me to sign up with Red Quanta because they had some home delivery food shops in my area. I live in a HUGE metropolitan area and so I questioned "my area".
2) I signed up with them giving them vague information and NO payment information.
3) I was told to give them a "new" gmail address and I would be assigned some shops. I provided on of my existing gmail addresses that I use specifically for ms. I was then added to a group, that I know nothing about.
4) I made sure I gave Red Quanta and Carrie my correct zip code, with the instructions that I would only do delivery shops, thinking that would help keep it close to home and not knowing anything about the clients.
5) The next thing I know, I was scheduled for 4 shops on Red Quanta, 3 deliveries, and 1 pickup. I informed Carrrie that I would not do a pickup as I was to busy. Her response was werent there any pickups I could do? My response, no and I only wanted deliveries within a 5 mile radious of my home (I like my food hot). Carrie responded to me saying that there had to be restaurants within 5 miles of where I live that I could do a pickup. My response was that was not the point. I had stated from the beginning that I would only do delivery and that if it was going to be a problem, to just cancel all the shops. I was becoming more leery after continuing to read the forum about her/company.
6) The next thing I knew, I had 4 deliveries assigned to me.
7) I sorted through the requirements and decided that with all the screen shots and other things required, along with a confusing report, this was not going to fit in easily with my immediate schedule.
8) I continued to read about Carrie/Red Quanta, especially the note by Doug the PI. The was the straw that broke the camels back. I even read Carrie's long post about her problems. WHY, the forum is not the place for that. My comment towards that is if it is true, I am sorry. But there are too many things worng with that post, and other posts have identified them so I don't need to.
9) Alas, planned to cancel the shops, something I hate to do because I pride myself on being a dependable shopper. But when I went to Red Quanta to cancel them they were gone! So I will continue to my next step which is to block Carrie. As an independent contractor, this is my choice and business (headache) I feel I can do without.

I received an email yesterday that said payments are being processed for the Red Quanta shops. I completed my first one about a month ago so I am hopeful.
I've done a bunch of these through Merc. It's the one of the easiest take out/delivery reports I've ever done although you do need to make sure you take screenshots *as you order* as they are required. No photos or extensive report on the food itself. It was fun being able to try a bunch of great mom and pop places that would likely never otherwise be mystery shopped. I also did one through BVA which offers a slightly higher reimbursement for the delivery orders, and got paid less than 48 hours after the shop via PayPal -- but in Euros. (It was a flat fee for a failed delivery, so I'm not sure how this would impact reimbursements.)
By the way, you do need to create a new Gmail address. The "Google group" is just a one-time email that confirms your email address is set to go.
Thanks NinS. I've got one scheduled for tomorrow and am looking forward to it. If all works out as you say, looking forward to doing more. These are thru Merc

Follow up to my previous posts: I have now been paid for all of the shops I completed with Red Quanta in March via e-check on PayPal.
I have done four of these app takeout shops. I had my doubts as well, when they wanted to know what i spent in Rupees? WTH However, a scheduler named Carrie has kind of reassured me, held my hand as I have done some of these and she told me she takes care of payments here in the US for them. I am not sure of the Merc connection because I have done 7 of these same shops via Merc also and in the job title for me, it even says they are Red Quanta. I think they may be subbing Merc and outsourcing to their bigger client base. I cant say if they pay or not but I have four showing as to be paid.

I've heard that the scheduler -Carrie Coyle - can be very reassuring. Carrie Coyle is an independent scheduler , scheduling as Private Eyes, who has worked recently with Red Quanta, Sinclair, and Mercantile. Be very, very careful if she has told you she takes care of payments. She has a list of posters on this forum who have complained about the payments that she coordinates. Others have reported scheduling problems. Read more about Carrie Coyle:
