FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

Did 5 guys change the MSC they go thru or they still with the same one? I didnt see ANY shops available thus far this year which made me think they changed companies they use given the chatter here.

They're with the same MSC they've been with for a while. If you aren't seeing them, you may have been outed as a shopper and the MSC blocked you from seeing the shops. I don't know how you'd find out. I do know that one of the MSC's employees does post here on occasion and I was reinstated to their shops due to her intervention.

k..they occasionaly have been missing from this MSC here and there but this seems a lot longer so maybe that happened. No biggie. Now I gotta find other MSCs that do food shops in my area still..down to RBG at this point..ha
They are using the same MSC that they have used for at least 15 years.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I had the same issue not long ago. Did you change your filters recently?

I see nothing in my city (Canada) and have not since December. Wonder what happened.

Notice how the guy who steals the potatoes speaks as if he had every right to take them! I'm glad the manager was buff enough to take the potatoes from him without pulling a muscle...
What’s the best day and time to check for near term shops at 5g? I find Thursday for Sat-Sun, but appreciate help. Tired of $9 listings.

5G is traditionally shopped from Thurs-Sun, but I have found they are getting more flexible on that, I think due to Covid they are taking the approach of adding more days to shopping but also standing a little more firm on fees darn it. Definitely don't take a shop at $9. In my area the available shops generally bump up to $12 by Wednesday and $18 with MAO by Friday.
yep, they confirmed they removed them from me but didnt say I did anything wrong. They basically avoided the question so I told them its no wonder why people dont like working for you and I was dissappointed with them. We shall see how long I am in "timeout" for...hahahaha what a bunch of piss ants!!!

This is what they did to me. I wasn't even that mad that they removed me or surprised since I had been doing a bunch of shops for them. It was more that they didn't tell me and I had to figure it out myself and when I asked they were snotty about it. Like if you can't communicate with your shoppers, you have a big problem.
I got a call from a scheduler for shops for this weekend. When he told me the fee, I told him they were the same on the website. I asked if he could do better. He told me that they were stingy with the fee bonuses now.

They keep calling me and offering $15 for a location I only took recently because I was going to submit a curbside shop as closed. I keep telling them I won't do it for less than $25, and probably not even that since I am rarely in that area. I do see that this week's shops are up to $18 with MAO. Not interested in this weekend's at one of my local FG since some clown took the lunch shop for $12 (or less) and the dinner times are inconvenient. Next week's dinner shop at this location is an online order with a shake, so much more attractive to me since I can get there at 4:30, pick up food and go home.

I have been trying to get $25 for my locations to no avail. The scheduler acknowledged that was a fee of the past. Please post if you get $25 Mr. Bill and what method (MAO, Samantha or scheduler.

I've been starting my offers at $36 for the two locations I've consistently gotten $30 for in the past.

I've gotten back down to the $30 and they're rejecting the offer. They are probably tightening up on the bonuses. I just submitted $27 MAO on an $18 shop for lunch tomorrow. I hope they accept it.
The weekend shops at the locations nearest me have all been taken, with one exception. They did not get bonused on the board, nor were there MAOs. The one remaining location is listed at $18 with MAO, and it's a late dinner closing.

I got a $25 Samantha offer for a late night shop at a location that I do, which is 30-40 minutes from me, so I'm not taking it (I don't even do late night shops at my local FG). It's currently on the board for $20.

I have gotten $25 recently via MAO and scheduler putting in for approval.
I messed up and completed one on the wrong day. I have no idea how I did this. Sometimes our brains fail us. I did everything right, except that OF COURSE. But I didn't get notified on time to re-shop the next day (the REAL day). Since then I get the automatic emails and always reply -SURE I will do it. But I do not get scheduled. I am probably blacklisted. Oh well. I'm ion an area where some of their stuff sits for weeks and weeks. Maybe they could throw me a bone.
Tanischris, human nature to make mistakes like that. It happens to all of us. Don't kick yourself too hard!

I did two FG shops this week for $23 each, MAO. They had been listed at $18 on the board. These particular shops had been sitting on the board for over two weeks, and were in difficult-to-fill locations. I can't get more than $21 for the more popular locations nearby.
A US-based scheduler also told me that they are no longer paying high fees. I was generally getting $25-$35 a location, plus $85 for a very distant and remote location, and that amount would kick in as soon as the job reached $20 on the board. However, now the board price never seems to rise above $18, and nearly all of my requests placed through phone schedulers get rejected. After many months where I did a dozen+ Five Guys I'll be doing exactly one this month (a local location they gave me $25 for).

It's fine. I did a ton of these during Covid and always knew the risk that sooner or later my account would be deactivated or the fees would go down. Now I have plenty of other sources of income, so others are welcome to do these shops for $18-$22.

Nins, I saw that downward spiral as well. The peak was fun while it lasted. Like I said before, I'm happy to do them for an effortless $18.

Just got $25 for an online order dinner w/shake for this weekend. Funny story, I'd had my eyes on that shop (as I posted last week). I looked yesterday on the app while I was out, but it seemed to want me to answer questions to qualify, and I didn't want to mess up the answers, so I decided to wait until I got home. When I looked later in the day, the shop was gone (last week's unfilled regular dinner shop was still there, along with this week's lunch). I was kind of bummed, but what can you do. My wife said, "whoever took it will probably cancel it". I looked a little while ago, and sure enough it was available again! Put in my $25 MAO, and it was accepted within minutes. I'm actually going to be in that general area this tomorrow, so it worked out well, and of course not having to stick around to eat is always great.

BTW I was not asked any qualifying questions when I took the shop, so not sure what was going on with the app.

I just got a regular for 25 but they did try to get me to do it for 22. A semi one I would do for 45 hasn't happened though since the changes.
I’ve never gotten the MS company app to work -is it an iOS issue? I can’t ever log in. I’ve had no problems on a MacBook Safari browser, but also can’t get logged in on iPhone. Would it help to have their app to grab last minute offers? Their phone calls lack something
$17.60 yesterday for a little cheeseburger, little fries, and the smallest drink. They should negotiate a contract that covers the full cost reimbursement instead of a set fee.
Curious to know what these are. Would you mind sharing?

I stay under reimbursement by ordering a sandwich or hot dog. At one location, my grilled cheese was over $14.20.

Do not forcefully accept the low paying shops. Five Guys is forcing you to accept lower pay. Wages are going up. Inflation is increasing, they need you more than you need them. Stick at $25 and they will eventually come around. Everything in my area is $18, but they gave me one for $25 for the first time a couple weeks back. I helped out and did several of their shops even farther out since they were providing reasonable enough cost to cover time and gas. Its up to you if you want to accept the shop, but I do know that if nobody takes the shops at $18, they will have to increase the pay.
I used to do these shops for $25 prior to the pandemic. I took one for $15 a few months ago, as it was a location with ice cream and have not been able to move past $15. I get email offers for $18 but none of my bids higher gets accepted.
